LIANGGANG OFFICE PARK
lianggang, shanghai, china | B+H Architecture | senior designer
The Lianggang Office Park was an ambitious project with a developer who had a strong concern for materiality and quality. The focus of the concept was to create an environment that was modern and international but was still imbued with the material aesthetics and forms that would be attractive to the Chinese market.

SEPHORA FLAGSHIP
shanghai, shanghai, china | B+H Architecture | senior designer
The Sephora Flagship will occupy the busy intersection of Nanjing Road West and Moaming Lu. It will be the largest Sephora store, to date, and compete easily against any Sephora store world wide regarding the scope of design. The store is the first two-story location attempted by Sephora. Because of this, greater attention was paid to the design of the store relative to circulation and consumer psychology.

SUNNING B2C CAMPUS
nanjing, china | B+H Architecture | senior designer
The two designs of the B2C campus were based around creating a space for a new, younger, breed of employee. The cloud model, is centered around a series of autonomous buildings, each with their own unique support services and few strategic anchor buildings. In this way, a diversity of communities will develop along the campus but each will share and communicate through the campus common areas. The spine model relates all the building to one common area where all services are shared. In this way the campus creates on large ubiquitous community.

TENCENT HQ
shenzen, china | B+H Architecture | senior designer
Tencent’s new head quareters will be on the most iconic buildings along the shenzen skyline. The design of the interior will not only complement the architecture, but actually aims to improve work life within the structure. The three office schemes and public spaces are built along a notion of connectivity. Here, any place can become improptu meeting, whether you are in the breakout room of your office, or the gym. Everything keeps you connected, productive and engaged.

SIOUX CITY BUS SHELTER
sioux city, iowa, usa | iowa state university | lead designer
As a service project, we were asked to design a prototype bus shelter for the city of Sioux City, IA.
The design for the shelters is centred on a series of layered typologies. The first layer, structure, is based on the locally prominent building types: “Storefront” (blue) & “Industrial” (yellow). The second layer is the result of studying local architecture patterns: Buxton (blue) & Elmslie (yellow).
After our initial design process we worked closely with local steel manufacturers to laser cut and powder coat the panels. The project was finished and installed in August of 2007.
IN SCHEM. D. SUNING UNIVERSAL MU
kunming, yunnan, china | woods bagot | designer
Suning Universal Mixed Use in Kunming, China. This series of concepts won a schematic contract for a mixed use development in the heart of Kunming, China. The development combines an office/hotel, service apartments, and a retail podium space. The project also creates a sunken plaza to connect to the local mass transit system and green spaces for pedestrian use. One proposal presents a twisted tower with two convex and two concave sides. The podium of this option reflects the same sinuous curves. The second option presents a smooth, curved facade wrapped around a faceted louvered facade. In this version all four faces use a glass patterning that ties back in to the textile patterning native to the region.

Chairman’s Office of Fengsheng, Inc
nanjing, jiangsu, china | EXH 印西诃 | designer
Chairman’s Office of Fengsheng, Inc in Nanjing, China. The schematic and detail design of Fengsheng’s Chairman’s office led to this interior fitout in Nanjing, China. The project held to the purity of modernism, respecting the nature of form and material to create dynamic plays on light and space. The office itself was over a 1000 sq m. and featured staff and conference rooms, as well as a full executive bathroom and massage room, and game room. No amenity was spared, including radiant floors, a hybrid cooling system (comprised of a cooling slab and central air), and high end security and automation.
