2018 IN REVIEW MICHAEL HOLDEN
INTRODUCTION Here we are again, back for another review of a busy motorsport season behind the camera.
And of course, witness the not-to-be-missed Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) return to UK soil after five years.
Coming from a successful 2017 campaign where I was highly commended for my work, this year I have focused on covering a plethora of historic race meetings ranging from delightful club events to festival extravaganzas. Alongside this, I was fortunate enough to shoot the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park (my local track) with “the UK’s leading national motorsports photography agency” Jakob Ebrey Photography – plus fit in the occasional GT/drifting/rally/stock car meeting.
This commitment has resulted in seeing my works being published frequently in leading classic car magazine Octane and other notable motorsport publications Autosport and Motorsport News for the first time, along with gaining an enhanced profile in the motorsport community. But more importantly, it has been a pleasure to capture some amazing machinery and the people involved in motorsport. Long may it continue…
