Getting closer to retirement as I update this profile in December of 2012 -- I should be able to clear out my desk in January of 2014 or '15. I've worked for the Johns Hopkins University since finishing my doctoral studies in May of 1986, especially in the capacity of Hopkins libraries [academic and medicine] since May of 1986, so 27 years by May of 2013! Doctoral discipline was Germanistics at the Johns Hopkins University, included were exchange programs in Muenster [Wilhelms Westfaelische Universitaet], Nordrhein-Westfalen, 1982 ; exchange program in Magdeburg, 1981 ; research programs as Doktor in spe, Humboldt-Universitaet Berlin, and further research in Jena and Leipzig. Studied at the Notre Dame University, South Bend Indiana, 1970-1972 ; graduated Sulpician Seminary of the Northwest, Kenmore WA 1969, and from O'Dea High School, Seattle Washington State, 1965.
