Introduction of Panel System • Cubicles are often seen as being symbolic of the human condition of working in a modern office setting due to their uniformity and blandness. • a cubicle seeks to give a degree of privacy to the user while taking up minimal space in a large or medium sized room • US cubical was traditionally refer to open plan partition system built with walls within reach that provides vertical storage space – the origin of panel system! • Divisional of functions – Hierarchical, Transactional – Highly individual focus for business productivity / turnover – Privacy in cubical provide necessary focus and concentration. Jobs are primarily process focused and therefore not requires high level of communication / interaction • Space Utilization – Efficiency in per sqft or sqm space leverage (i.e. space turnover) – Inclination of power embedded thick panel open plan system – Leverage of vertical space within cubical

Panel - Construction Panel construction Vertical Rail: 6063 aluminum extrusion total width - 41mm, high strength versus weight ratio and is easily recycled. Horizontal Rail: 6063 aluminum extrusion total width - 40mm, it is based on “Young’s Modulus” theory of Modulus “I” to improve the yield strength and designed to support overhead storage weight. Intermediate Rail: 6063 aluminum extrusion with modulus “I” beam construction to support the worktop load bearing transfer from the sliding brackets Core construction Fabric: Bamboo fabric insert is made out of 12 mm thick solid-core particle board laminated with 3 mm thick foam both sides with hot-melted adhesive and upholstered with fabric as the surface material. The fabric upholstery is a pre-sewed envelope with its open end sealed with staples. NRC rating in the 50-60 range. The NRC is determined strictly by the sound absorption of the 3mm thick foam. STC (sound transmission coefficient) should be improved due to the particle board. Our experience has been that the overall panel design has a large effect on the NRC/STC rating since any gaps between the panel sides/ top/bottom allows sound to pass around the pads/panel and defeats the sound absorption. Steel: Constructed with double-sided 4 side folded 0.8 EG (Electro Galvanized) sheet metal with PU (Polyurethane) foam padding to eliminate rattling. And over 1500mm width will have 1.2mm thickness with stiffener and 30 for reinforcement purposes with Braille embossing padding

Panel - Construction Glass: 8mm thick reinforce tempered glass with optional printed pattern or frosted finishes with silk screening. A special gasket on four edges will help dampen vibration. Polycarbonate: Corrugated polycarbonate 8mm thick sheet produce an ideal light weight core material to bring in natural light but still maintain visual privacy. Similar gasket on four edges will help to damper out the vibration. Whiteboard: 12mm particle board sandwiched with whiteboard laminates (not magnetic) Echopanel: 9mm Echopanel is produced from 100% PET which is recyclable. PET is the same material that many drink bottles are made from. Similar gasket on four edges will help dampen vibration. Tackable Board with fabric: 12mm tackboard low density wood fiber board (Korlite board) 3 mm thick foam both sides with hot-melted adhesive and upholstered with fabric as the surface material. The fabric upholstery is a pre-sewed envelope with its open end sealed with staples. NRC rating in the 50-60 range. The NRC is determined strictly by the sound absorption of the 3mm thick foam. STC (sound transmission coefficient) should be improved due to the particle board. Our experience has been that the overall panel design has a large effect on the NRC/STC rating since any gaps between the panel sides/ top/bottom allows sound to pass around 31 the pads/panel and defeatsConfidential the sound absorption.
