Dear Friends, Today’s Happy Hook’n moment is brought to you by Kristin’s son, a fellow Crochet Crowder. We followed the saga for a couple days after her son realized there was a hole in his favourite afghan.
Oh boy... did the waterworks fall. His favourite afghan was ruined by his standards and all hope is lost. But have no fear, his mummy Kristin, came to the rescue with a darning needle to patch it up. All of a sudden, his world is made right again. What struck me the most was Kristin’s statement that the hole wasn’t perfect and looks a bit weird. Judging by her son’s delight, that doesn’t matter one bit. In some ways, I wish I had her son’s attitude. As adults, we try to strive for excellence and see the faults easily. So easily that I think it sometimes tromps on our crazy desires for perfection. Perfection really doesn’t exist. Her son is conveying gratitude and appreciation. It’s a picture perfect moment! Happy Hookin’ Mikey
