A former New Yorker’s View. In a ZOOM World The Price to Pay for the Good Life on the Lake in New Hampshire is Far Gooder. Many would agree that 2020 might be a year to forget. However some of the most amazing things happened. The world was forced to reevaluate how and where to live and work. So many people rushed to Home Depot and Lowes to improve their surroundings even with the cost of wood and supplies skyrocketing. Everyone found that everything can be delivered. For many the best that could be found was further East and a bit North to New Hampshire. Our towns saw a surge of new families making NH a new home. Real estate in New Hampshire has defied any imagination. The impact of the pandemic on surrounding states from New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts The now daily use of ZOOM for life and business has made it possible to live and work anywhere. Why not do it surrounded by 86% trees, 1300 lakes and The White Mountains. New Hampster Having lived in New York City, Connecticut and Boston I had a different vision of New Hampshire People I knew called it New Hampster or Cow Hampshire. Then I discovered the real wealth of New Hampshire. Rich in History. Rich in Natural Beauty and some of the most beautiful waterfront estates for about 20% of what would be fetched in the Hamptons in NY or the North Shore of Boston and the Connecticut seacoast--and without the traffic. And within the Rich Beauty of New Hampshire it turns out to be the Wealthiest State in the country per capita. I lived in NYC in the when apartment buildings were be “warehoused” to be converted into condos, a studio apartment sold for 125K and I knew of a hall closet that sold for $10,000.
In the 16 years I lived in 5 apartments on the East Side of Manhattan before buying a place in Gramercy Park. Life was expensive, working to pay the bills vs working to live a life.
your friends and business clients. There are so many surprises about New Hampshire. It is by no surprise it is a mecca of great places to call home without breaking the bank. Gooder than good.

Today, in my same building, same size unit is selling for $1,269,000. Between every town you visit you drive past lush forests, stunning views, and mountain vistas. After all, NH is covered by 86% trees with a population of just over 1.2 million people.
