Creating Clips in Kaltura NOTE: The PPAT requires one fifteen-minute video (mandatory), which may contain one fifteen-minute segment (unedited) or three five-minute segments (each unedited) combined into one file. − After you have uploaded your video files to My Media, and with your video open, click on the Actions button and select Create Clip to display the editing tool. − Set the range of your clip by dragging the trimming timeline OR entering the exact start and end times. − Complete the metadata beneath the video (be sure to keep this video Private). − Click Create Clip. Your clipped video will appear in My Media.

Downloading Video Clips - Kaltura − Make sure your Download settings are saved to HD-720 (h.264) by clicking on EDIT and Downloads. − Click on Go to Media to be taken to your video.

Click Download and select the Actions Download. The file will be added to your Download Folder on your computer.

Combining Video Clips in iMovie − IMPORT VIDEO CLIPS: Go to "File> Import> Movies". Then a browser will pop up which allow you to select the files you want to bring in. After choosing the target files, click "Import" and all the clips will appear in the Event window. − JOIN THE CLIPS: iMovie allows you to select what section of the clip you want, if not the whole thing. Now you can choose the clips you want to join, drop them into the Project window and arrange the order of them according to your needs. Then when you play through the Project window, you will find that all of the clips are joined together. − EXPORT THE NEW FILE: Now that all the clips in Project window are play though as one, you can export it so that it will stand as a single clip. To do this, go to "Share" and there are a variety of different options. The common export option is "Export Movie" since it's the most basic way to create new clip.

Combining Video Clips in Movie Maker − IMPORT VIDEO CLIPS: Click the Click here to browse for photos and videos option at the center of the window, then double-click the first video file that you want to join. Repeat this step for each additional clip. You do not need to add the clips in any particular order, as you can rearrange them within Windows Live Movie Maker. Each individual clip is separated in Windows Live Movie Maker by a tiny break in the timeline at the right side of the window. − JOIN THE CLIPS: You can rearrange the clips by clicking on the one you want to move, then dragging it to the desired position in the timeline. Note that there is a vertical line that is displayed at the point in the timeline where your moved clip will be added. − EXPORT THE NEW FILE: When your clips are properly arranged, click the Movie Maker tab at the top-left corner of the window, click Save Movie, then choose the appropriate resolution based upon your needs. 4|Page
