In this course, you will learn how to clarify your business values and visions through a creative process that assists entrepreneurs to think outside of the box to develop a unique approach to their business. By the end of this course you will have two business plans, one that you can relate to and helps you throughout your business endeavor. The second business plan is a refined plan of the creative plan that talks to lenders and grant providers. Through thoughtful landscaping of your market and competitors, this course helps you determine what products and services you should offer by understanding your competition and what will make you stand out from the crowd. You will also identify who your perfect customers are and how to successfully reach them, as well as create a desired communication platform for each type. This course will assist you in setting and managing money goals that honor your values and align with your life. Finding and utilizing marketing resources to get the word out and steps you will need to take to formalize your business. Not only will you leave this course with two business plans, but also a sphere of entrepreneur connections routed in the community to assist you, resources to utilize, and a list of lenders, grants and service providers. This course is for those who are thinking of starting a business, those on the fence and not sure whether they are ready, and those with ideas and not sure whether to pursue them. Your Instructor will show you the right way to decorate, step by step, so that you experience the excitement of successfully decorating your first cake. Tips on how to bake a great cake, see how to make and color icing, and learn the best way to ice the cake. You will also practice basic fundamentals of decorating, enabling you to approach each technique the right way for great results. Along the way, you will learn to create various types of icing drop flowers, leaves, roses, etc. You will learn just how easy it is to create the perfect cake for any occasion. The instructor will show you how to decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts, step by step, so that you can make your own creations for any occasion. Along the way, you will learn various types of frosting designs to include basket weave, simple string work, working with royal frosting, simple figure piping, etc. You will learn just how easy it is to create the perfect dessert for any occasion. In this course, you will learn how to arrange and design with flowers you purchased. You will learn the basic floral tools/supplies, basic flower names, basic designs and container usage. This is a twelve-hour course. Service and light repair of your home oil furnace or boiler. The class will include a breakdown of all the major components of a typical oil furnace and boiler, and their job in the system. Students will learn properties of combustion, air/fuel mixture, flame quality, air distribution, and maintenance of an oil heating system. Students will have a chance to tear down and rebuild a typical oil burner unit, as well as preventative care and specialty tools a technician uses in the field. The class will conclude with troubleshooting and repair techniques, and parts procurement. Each student will receive a set of nozzle/ignitor gap tools for Beckett oil burners, a handy reference and troubleshooting guide.

This certification course is designed to help you study for the EPA 608 refrigerant handling and use exam. Students will receive a study packet that includes a CD, study guide, practice tests, and exams. Students will have three sessions. In the first session, the instructor will go over the main points and laws of governing the 608. The second session covers refrigerant recovery, vacuum, charging, and leak detection. The final session will consist of the certification exam. As an added bonus, after successful completion of the EPA 608 exam, students will be offered a free R410A certification and Preventative Maintenance Technician certification course, as well. You must have a social security number, picture identification, and mailing address to register. Students should also have some working knowledge of cooling systems. This is a six-hour course.

This course gives food service workers the knowledge and tools they need to know in food safety and the critical importance of its role. Learn how to share food safety knowledge with every employee. Participants will be ServSafe Certified, upon successful completion of course. Some concepts participants will learn with ServSafe training are: sanitation, the flow of food through the operation, sanitary facilities and pest management, contamination and food allergens.

In this fun, four-day workshop, young chefs will practice essential kitchen skills and master the fundamentals of cooking. Students will enjoy working alongside classmates and learning techniques.

Come learn to perform preventative maintenance, service, and troubleshooting that will help you avoid those frustrating problems and finally get your monies worth out of your yard equipment. We will cover the difference between two and four stroke engine operation, float bowl and diaphragm carburetors and simple tune-up and preventative maintenance strategies. We will show you how and when to service your small engines. You will also learn the proper troubleshooting techniques, so you avoid the costly repair shop bills. Students are encouraged to bring in their own engines to service, troubleshoot, or repair as you learn. School does have engines to work on if you are not able to bring one in. At the first class the instructor will determine what projects can be brought in. This is a 21-hour course. *Prerequisite: Basic Small Engine Repair This advanced course will cover the internal workings of the two and four stroke internal combustion engine. You will gain the knowledge of what it takes to make an engine run. Students will completely disassemble, learn how to use precision measuring tools, recondition, and assemble an internal combustion engine. If you have a tired old engine that could benefit from a fresh rebuild, this is the time to do it yourself. Students are encouraged to bring in their own equipment to repair as you learn. School does have engines to work on if you are not able to bring one in. At the first class, the instructor will determine what projects can be brought in. This is a 21-hour course. DHARMA I YOGA The Dharma Yoga style created by Sri Dharma Mittra in 1975 is rooted in hatha-raja yoga and its eight Limbs. There is an overarching emphasis on compassion. The physical practice tones and invigorates the body and mind, bringing flexibility, strength, and balance. Guidance through breathing and meditative healing modalities regulates the heartbeat and de-stresses the nervous system, supporting each person towards radiant health, and therefore a long and peaceful life. Appropriate for students who are just moving up from beginner to the intermediate level, as well as those who have been practicing for awhile and want a slower pace to the flow. Introductions to yoga philosophy and more, flowing from one pose to the next. This class also continues to deepen pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques. This is the beginning level of the Dharma Yoga series. Students will practice and be introduced to Dharma Yoga Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa Level I to warm up the body, bring flexibility to all muscles, joints, and wake up the nervous system. A gentle yet powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting and mild inverted postures will follow. This practice ends with deep relaxation, breathing exercises, concentration and meditation to remove impurities and bring a sense of well-being to the body and radiant peace to the mind. This course is for beginners and intermediate photographers. Learn techniques in digital photography including camera functions such as ISO, shutter speed, aperture, focal length, and how they impact your picture. Improve you photographs through the understanding of composition techniques, lighting, implied motion and more. Basic image editing and presentation with digital retouching manipulation and cropping. Participants will need to bring a digital camera with manual controls for aperture and shutter speed, instruction manual, and USB flash drive. This is a 21-hour course.
