As a low income area of the city of Cincinnati, Over the Rhine is a historical district that embraced the development of the city. Due to the large amount of torn down and unuseful buildings, the program intends to create a multi-unit community housing with certain amount of unit and varies design. All unit will harbor one flat and one townhouse, with shared garden and public space in between two rows of apartment. This assignment focuses on apartment design and the maximize use of limited space.

In the era of information explosion, library is not only a place that transfer information through books, but becomes a multi functional space that ties the community together. Clifton area planning to renovate their town center and rebuild the branch library with a goal of turning it into a space that provides diversity and varies access to information, meaning transform from “bookcase� to source of information and venue of communication

The plain-looking hill with a flattened peak on the outskirts of Soutyh Cadbury is where the castle of camlot once stood--the dark age legendary castle of king arthur. It is time to build a research and entertainment center where all the great texts paintings and documentries about medieval literature can be preserved, studied and viewed together as one living salute. That is where this visitor center comes in

Project S is a two month company summer design charrett--design and build a seating system for callison seattle in the lobby with a budget of $1500. The seat is going to be used as seating, model display and

short guest meeting. It

should be designed for multi-function office use. After

braintorming

the

team decide to go with the direction that allows

flexible

movement

adn

rearrangement

of the furniture piece, meanwhile, emphasize the multi functional characteristic of a seating. We decided that curvature will be the best shape that can be easily extend or compress in order to meet different seating requirement.

I have participated in schematic design of this Apple store in Qingdao , China and currently I’m on the construction documentation phase. Since I joined th e team, I have been involved in its concept design and schematic design phase, which has provide me a thorough precess of architecture practice between client and architect. Similarly, i have been actively involved in several construction document phase of other apple retail store.

Miami Univrsity has a long term cooporation with over the rhine in cincinnati and has a on-going project of design-build community renovation project. this is a spring corner store renovation project I participated in construction phase for 8 days; also I held an dual exhibition with sunny wang in spring 2013. It is a two week exhibition containing some of our finest watercolor painting
