To Parents, Guardians, and Campers: Nestled on approximately 175 acres of PA’s beautiful Pocono Mountains, or in California’s Yosemite National Park. Established in 2016, our focus is on the individual growth of each child. We offer multi-session programming to best accommodate the needs of our campers. Whether this is your camper’s first experience out in the wilderness or your camper is an old pro, sending your child to camp for the summer can stir up many emotions. You want to know that your child will be well taken care of and in a safe and fun environment. At Feat, we have developed a reputation of providing a nurturing environment led by our directors and Senior Staff who take a personal interest in each individual camper. We put an important emphasis on maintaining a high staff-to-camper ratio to ensure proper supervision. Our staff is mature and is hired based on their teaching ability (within their specialty area) and their experience of working with children. When you choose to send your camper to Feat, you are choosing more than a camp with a great program and facilities. You are choosing a second home where your child will make life-long friends and will develop important life skills including independence and self-esteem. Sincerely,
Julia Lane PROGRAM DIRECTOR
welcome Feat is a warm, welcoming community that gathers together year after year to experience the joy of camping. Here, campers grow and branch out in an environment ďŹ lled with compassion and respect. Feat and all that it stands for becomes etched into the hearts and souls of its campers and will have an enormous impact on the adults they grow to be. The qualities embraced and skills they will learn here have been passed down from one generation of campers to the next and will continue to develop over the years.

things to know Here’s our top tips being a well informed Feat parent! These tips have been sent by and generated from alumni Feat parents!
1
Keeping kids organized Have your kids pack personals item in a duffel bag and that will encourage them to always return those items to that duffel. That way each child’s duffel should be a different color for easy way to identification of their bags.
2
Be enthusiastic Why should kids get fired-up about a family camping trip if you’re not? Show your child how exciting camping can be by getting them excited for their trip, maybe even hosted backyard camping trips!

Practice camping at home If your kids are outdoor newbies, pitch a tent in the backyard or even inside your home. Let them hang out in it and sleep in it so they become comfortable with a new sleeping environment.
Take a trial run Before your overnighter, try a family day outing at a close to home park. Spend a half day or so at a lake shore or park and see how your kids react to the experience.
