here’s what’s new in Teton Village Parking Access Improvements
Last winter, Teton Village Association enhanced the guest experience with automated paid parking gates to decrease lines entering the parking lots. This system will continue in the 2022-23 season and offer day users three options to pay for parking: at kiosks conveniently located near the Ranch Lot restrooms and the bus stop at the base of the tram; using a smartphone app; or at the parking gate when they exit the parking lot. New this season is license plate recognition technology (LPR) which will allow frictionless access for season pass holders, hotel guests, and day visitors who pay for their parking before exiting the lots, further reducing entry times. As long as the skier prepays for parking before leaving, the LPR camera will scan the license plate and the gate will automatically raise without the need to roll down a window. This project is funded by the Teton Village Resort District.
Experience Glow Nights Art Exhibit in the Village Commons from December 17, 2022 to February 1, 2023
Teton Village Association is pleased to feature the “Light a Wish” illuminated dandelion installation by the OGE Group of Israel, on display in the Village Commons. These floating, dancing, luminescent dandelions visualize the moment seeds disperse in the air, taking your wish with them into the world.
New “Skiosks” Make Ticket Pick-Up a Breeze
Three new “skiosks,” or lift ticket pick-up boxes, are now located in front of the main ticket window, Bridger Center ticket window, and at the back of Teton Village Sports. When you purchase tickets online, you can now pick them up at your convenience at these three locations.
Thunder Lift Gets an Upgrade
This summer, after 28 years of service, JHMR’s central Thunder Chairlift was replaced with a new high-speed quad. The speed of the new lift is 1,000 feet per minute, which will cut riders’ lift time in half, from just over 7 minutes to 3.6 minutes.

Where can I pick up lift tickets that were purchased online?
There are three lift ticket pick-up boxes located in front of the main ticket window, in front of Bridger Center ticket window, and at the back of Teton Village Sports.
Can I get to the town of Jackson if I don’t have my own car?
Yes! START Bus runs continual service from Teton Village to Jackson daily. The bus stop is located in front of the tram building. For a schedule, call 307.733.4521 or visit www.startbus.com.
Do you need a special ticket to go out of bounds?
No. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort neither encourages nor discourages guests from enjoying terrain in the backcountry. Make sure you know backcountry safety before you go and have a partner, a plan, and the necessary equipment with you such as an avalanche beacon, probe and shovel. Please review and understand the daily backcountry report provided by Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center and posted at all backcountry gates. Alternatively, hire a guide for the day and receive firsthand knowledge. Guide Service 307.739.2797.
What is an inversion?
An inversion occurs when the temperatures in the valley are much colder than the temperatures on the mountain. Inversion days will often result in warmer temperatures on the mountain. If you hear the word inversion, there is only one place to be and that is up on the mountain.
Where should I take kids for Mountain Sports School?
Kids 7 years old and older should proceed to the Sweetwater Gondola and exit the gondola at the mid-station, or Solitude Station. Please check in with Mountain Sports School when you arrive.
