GENERAL FAIR INFORMATION
General The Teton County Fair will not be held responsible for the loss of any article or animal (exhibited at the Fair) either during the progress of the Fair, or while in route to or from the Fair. Nor will it be held responsible for the safe return of any exhibit to its owner, although due care and caution will be exercised to prevent all loss and damage. Management will consider it a great favor if the visitors report any mistreatment or extortion practiced by an employee of the Fair or concessionaires. Do not wait until the Fair is over to file a complaint; do it immediately. Correspondence on all matters in relation to the Fair is solicited and its officers will promptly furnish desired information.
Security Security services are provided by the Fair Board, but the Fair Board accepts no responsibility for loss or damage. The Teton County Fair claims no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to livestock, person, or other property belonging to any individual while said person’s property is being exhibited or used in connection with the Teton County Fair. Security guards will be posted in the Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall and in the Heritage Arena every day they are open for public viewing.
There is no shortage of cute critters at the Teton County Fair! Looks can sometimes be deceiving, though, and these little creatures can unintentionally make you sick. That’s why it is important to always wash your hands after touching the animals. Please consider the following helpful hints to ensure a fun and healthy Fair:
◆ ◆
Adults, please supervise children.
◆
Do not allow children who may have touched an animal to stick their fingers in their mouths or eat any food before their hands have been thoroughly washed.
◆
Keep food and drinks out of designated livestock areas.
◆ ◆
Do not share your food with animals.
Do not allow children’s mouths to make contact with an animal or animal enclosures (i.e., kissing an animal).
All of our restrooms have soap and hot water. Please use them often.
Handwashing stations are available throughout the fairgrounds — see map on page 1 to locate.

MARY WIGG MEMORIAL SPIRIT OF SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD For years, Mary Wigg was a competitor at the Teton County Fair. She successfully showed her horse each year, always exhibiting grace and commitment. In 1999, Mary was the winner of the Teton County Fair High Point Champion. She passed away only two months later, following a lengthy battle with cancer. The Teton County Fair Horse Show Committee annually commemorates Mary’s spirit, strength and sportsmanship by presenting the award to a competitor who carries with them these same qualities. Each competitor in the Non-Pro Western Performance classes on Sunday July 31, 2022 will be judged on their sportsmanship. Both competitors and folks who knew Mary are encouraged to attend the presentation of this award at approximately 1:00 PM.

ENTER JUNE 1 – JULY 24 ∙ $90 OPEN/$60 MIXED NUTS ∙ PHONE ENTRIES ONLY: FAIR OFFICE (307) 733-5289 Rules and Regulations: The length of the Rodeo Arena will be split in half so two (2) teams can run safely and at the same time. There will be a 4-minute time limit for each team. If a team member is a no-show, the whole team scratches. The event will be capped at 80 teams. Any team member may enter each division four (4) times. The same team may enter each division one time. Each team consists of three (3) team members. All 3 team members start on horseback at one end of their assigned arena, the cattle are at the other end of the same arena. The judge will decide placement of brand. No belly catches. When time is signaled, one teammate will rope a cow around the head or horns, another teammate will then heel the cow around the hind leg (s). Before the cow may be branded, it must be stretched, two hind feet, two front feet, and horses facing. Once the horses are faced, the third teammate may get off their horse and transfer the head rope to the front feet. There is no penalty for a cow kicking out of the rope, as long as the feet are replaced before the cow is branded. The third teammate will then brand the cow, in the location as specified by the judge, and race back to their horse and get on. Time is signaled when the iron is placed back in the bucket. Any roughing of the cattle, as determined by the judges, i.e., high-hocking or choking, may result in a team being disqualified. $60 of Open fee will be jackpotted, $30 is a stock charge; $30 of Mixed Nuts fee will be jackpotted, $30 is a stock charge. Class 1 Open Any 3-member team
Class 2 Mixed Nuts 2 or 3 team members must be one of the following: over 50, 14 and under, or female

BLUE RIBBON EXHIBIT HALL
General Exhibit Hall Information ◆
All Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall classes are open to all who wish to participate.
◆
Exhibitors may enter up to two (2) items in each class unless otherwise noted.
◆
If, after two (2) years, there have not been any entries in any one class, the Exhibit Hall Committee may eliminate or change that class.
◆
Exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor and must not have been shown previously at the Teton County Fair.
◆
Ribbons are awarded using the Danish System, meaning, exhibits will be judged against standards, not against other items in the class.
◆
The Teton County Fair Board and Fair Office will take all reasonable precautions for the safekeeping of Exhibit Hall entries but will NOT be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.
◆
No entry shall receive a prize when deemed unworthy by the awarding judges, though it may be the only one of its kind entered.
◆
Entries cannot be entered in the “any other” class if there is a class within the division for the item.
◆
The Teton County Fair Board reserves the right to interpret these rules and regulations to arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and differences.
◆
All protests must be submitted in writing to the Fair Board Chair, PO Box 3075, Jackson, WY 83001 along with a check for $25. If the protest is upheld, the check will be returned. If not, the check will be forfeited.
