Background: The Summit is a product of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide campus’ Center for Aviation and Aerospace Leadership (CAAL). It was created to provide aviation and aerospace industry stakeholders with a comprehensive view of the global business and economic outlook. In 2012, there were more than 300 registrants. Vision: Provide relevant knowledge, intelligence and insight to aviation and aerospace professionals who expect to excel in a complex, hyper-competitive and rapidly evolving industry. Mission: AAIMS is based on the fundamental premise that satisfying the global demand for equipment and services is core to aviation and aerospace, hence the word “manufacturing” in the Summit’s title. Thus, the overarching mission of AAIMS is to help industry professionals make more informed decisions by providing them with a better understanding of the current and projected business, economic, and social environment in which they must operate. The Summit is designed with only the most relevant topics in mind—from technology and human capital, to competitiveness and policy issues. Common to all of them is an underlying theme: What are the dynamics driving the industry, and What must companies do to deliver best value to their customers? The program is aimed at industry, government, academic, and trade association executives, and the event fulfills its mission by giving aviation and aerospace leaders a content-rich forum conducive to exchanging information vital to their success and the industry’s future. Value Proposition: Every AAIMS attendee should leave with new business contacts, illuminating insights, and information that can contribute to improving their organization’s success. Location: Located in the second largest aerospace industry cluster in the U.S., the DFW-AllianceTexas venue is home to several major OEMs, airlines, and hundreds of small- to medium-size manufacturers and services providers—altogether, more than 900 aviation and aerospace enterprises. Hundreds more are situated within a 350-mile radius, ranging to south Texas, north to Kansas and east to Arkansas. Additionally, attendees are offered the opportunity to gain renewed inspiration as AAIMS has partnered with the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show to provide exclusive access and seating to the 2013 show, “Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future.”
