Exhibition hosted by the International Training Centre of the ILO – United Nations From April 4 to May 15

International Training Centre of the ILO – United Nations The Centre, established in 1964, is the training arm of the International Labour Organization. It runs training, learning and capacity development services for governments, employers' organizations, workers' organizations and other national and international partners in support of Decent Work and sustainable development. In particular, the Centre offers short courses, academies, tailormade learning events, comprehensive training projects, advisory services and the design and production of training material. It also offers Masters‘ Programs run by its Turin School of Development. Activities take place on the campus in Turin, in the participants ́ home countries, at a distance or through a mixture of these. The Centre uses information technology, including the Internet, social media and mobile phones, to provide distance learning and tutoring services. The Centre hosts every year thousand of participants coming from all the world. The present exhibition is addressed to them and aims to offer a sample of the local culture of the Piedmont Region represented by the artworks of the artists pertaining to ARTMOLETO.

Ecomuseo della Pietra da Cantoni

Founded in 2003 by the Region of Piedmont, the Ecomuseo of Pietra da Cantoni’s aim is to conserve and respect the cultural heritage of the region around Casale Monferrato that is inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the benefit of future generations by reconstructing, witnessing and valorizing the same. The vineyard landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato in Piedmont have recently been recognized by Unesco as a world heritage site. They constitute an outstanding example of man’s interaction with his natural environment. Following a long and slow evolution of wine growing expertise.

Giò Bonardi ! ! ! ROSSO ossido, zolla lucente Oxide red, shiny rocks

! ! Giovanni Bonardi was born and lives in Villanova Monferrato (AL). He dedicated himself to painting at an early age, attending first the Artistic School of Vercelli and then the Brera Academy of Arts in Milan. He furthered his studies in various painting and sculpture techniques such as frescos, mosaics, terracotta, ceramics, bronze‌ and experimented new expressive artistic forms through theater, performances, using photography, video and computers.He taught painting for fifteen years in institutions of higher learning before dedicating himself completely to art and the restoration of artistic heritage. He realized several works for churches and public/private buildings.

Ilenio Celoria ! ! ! ROSSO borgogna, paesaggi immaginari Burgundy red, landscapes of imagination

! Ilenio Celoria was born in Casale Monferrato, Italy, in 1971. After graduating in architecture at the University of Genoa he devoted himself to teaching and researching in the field of photography. Since 2001 he has taught at the Technical Institute Leardi in Casale Monferrato and is a contract professor at the Polytechnic School of Genoa. He also taught Teaching of visual representation at the University of Genoa and Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sanremo. He has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Biennale of Photography in Alessandria, the Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin, ArtBrescia and various Italian and foreign galleries

Piero Ferroglia ! ! ROSSO purpureo, potente e prezioso Purple red, powerful and precious

! Piero Ferroglia born in 1946 at Caselle Torinese, where he still lives and works. Student of Filippo Scroppo and of Giacomo Soffiantino. Until 1988 he is mainly interested in painting in relation to situations and natural events which he studies attentively also with the help of photographs. From 1988 he amplifies his research with the help of sculptures that will influence his paintings consequently. Many personal and group exhibitions in Italy. 2015 he won ‘Stefano Belbo Premio Pavese’ for sculpture.

Michelle Hold ! ! ROSSO intenso, misterioso amore per l’arte Intense red, mysterious love for art

! Michelle Hold, born in Munich, grew up in Austria. She started studying architecture in Austria. She lived in Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Munich, where she attended various art and textile design classes and subsequently worked as textile designer in Milan. She has exhibited in New York, Miami, Shanghai, Nantung, London, Paris, Lisbon, Berlin, Vienna, Cologne and in Italy, received many prices and her works are found in private collections. Her last solo exhibition ‘Warriors of Light’ was in London at Debut Contemporary in 2015.

Andrea Massari ! ROSSO rubino, tempo che dilegua Rubin red, passing time

! Andrea Massari was born in Milan and lives at present in Monferrato, where he established his studio some time ago. Former director of museums, he has been painting for fifteen years, along paths inspired by the great season of the informal art. He renewed his last production through new experiences, proposals and situations, oriented to a formal and chromatic simplification.

Alessandro Patrone ! Rosso scarlatto, luce visibile Scarlet Red, visible light

! Alessandro Patrone is an abstract painter and a professional in the field of the technical cooperation. He was born in Turin, Italy, where he is presently based after having lived abroad in various countries. His paintings are inspired on a wide range of motivations: the universe, the cosmology, the interaction between consciousness and nature, or simply a new idea that emerges all of a sudden. He has exhibited his paintings in Italy and beyond receiving a significant number of awards and recognitions.

Teresio studied with Filippo Scroppo and has shown in many solo and collective exhibitions since 1974. Francesco de Bartolomeis, G. Cordero, P. Levi, P. Mantovani, A. Mistrangelo, F. Scroppo wrote about him.

Petra Probst ! ROSSO ardente, il senso del fuoco Burning red, a touch of fire

! Petra Probst was born in 1958 in Munich. She lives and works in Munich and Turin. Artist, free-lance illustrator/author specialized in books for kids. For some years she taught at the European Institute of Design in Turin. As an expert in art didactic programs and in art/dance therapy techniques she organizes and leads multicultural art projects for children, teens and adults. Her art works have been displayed in several individual and group exhibitions: among the latest ones it is worth mentioning “SILENZI”, at Palazzo Lomellino in Turin/Carmagnola. In 2015 in Sicily/Sciacca she curated with Flavio Tiberti the exhibition dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea and its refugee victims entitled “ROVI DI MARE, Visioni di un orizzonte in bilico” that will move to Genova MUMA in 2017.

Bona Tolotti ! ! ROSSO carminio, fluida energia Carmine red, liquid energy

! Born in Milan, Bona Tolotti lives in Monferrato since 1980. Autodidact artist, after ethnological and anthropology experiences traveling all along Centre and South America during 70’/80 ‘years. She is interested in design, communication, art and architecture and worked with important agencies in Milan(1970/1990) Since 1990 she has been living in the Monferrato sharing art and life with painter Pietro Piccinelli. Actually she is working in research and artistic projects, participating in different exhibitions in Monferrato and in national and international projects as well as Italian Culture Institutes together with the artists of ARTMOLETO

Daniela Vignati ! ! ROSSO splendente, la vita nelle vene Splendid red, life in our blood vessels

! Daniela Vignati, born in Milano, studies at the Anthroposophic School of Oriago(VE) where she finalizes the idea of creating social art holding workshops with children and grown ups. She also worked closely with an egyptian artist and metalworker and realized many pieces of jewelry. She lives in the Monferrato since 1990.
