Michelle Read

Michelle Read is an Irish-English playwright, theatre-maker and dramaturge. She writes mainly for stage but has also written for radio and TV. Her awards include the Hugh Leonard Bursary and the Eamon Keane Full-Length Play Award for ‘Snakelight’ (2009), the Stewart Parker/BBC Northern Ireland Drama Award for ‘The Other Side’ (2003) and a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival for ‘Romantic Friction’ (1998). She lives and works in Dublin.
