A collective social interface This
project
enterprise
proposes that
a
social
allows
newly
arrived migrants to Athens to grow an organic material that can be used to resource the textile industry.
The proposal installs the necessary infrastructure to ferment kombucha and grow the material across the city. The material itself,
surfaces and the golden hue from the liquids involved in the process give visual relief from the omnipresent grey facades.
The process allows for offshoot Polykatokia
local industries to evolve across the city as the future possibilities of this new material are further explored.
