In the face of a rush towards elite-level performance boards and the seemingly endless models that have appeared since the year 2000 (supplied by manufacturing in the Far East) BIC Sport has opted to do things very differently. We’ve concentrated our efforts on a smaller, focused range of products and have invested in establishing monotype/formula competitions for the long-term health of the sport. With manufacturing based in France we’ve been able to respond rapidly to the sport’s changing trends using exclusive, highly efficient production methods and technologies. Our 2016 Windsurf Collection consists of four series of boards concentrating on a limited number of models: TECHNO, NOVA, BEACH and SUP WIND.
• The new 240 D TECHNO is the perfect tool for getting started; a wide, stable and light weight board. • The NOVA 240 D incorporates a full deck pad for comfort and ease of use. It’s designed for clubs, schools, and for any beginners looking to learn fast and progress quickly on one board. • With the BEACH series you’ll find the unrivalled strength and solidity of our legendary DURA-TEC construction, combined with imaginative modern shapes. A robust, durable board at a price that will suit sailing schools, clubs and families looking for simple, accessible fun on the water. • SUP is the most recent arrival in the BIC Windsurf range. Our three SUP WIND models are the «missing-link» between windsurf and the new paddle sport that is coming of age. The 11’6 is a huge success with families and clubs looking for a quality all-purpose board: great for SUP, great for windsurfing.
As for competitive windsurfing, BIC Sport has been steering a very different course from its market rivals lately. After winning numerous World Championship titles around the year 2000, BIC has turned its attention to establishing monotype Competitions and developing the Techno 293 One Design as the worldwide official competition race board for juniors. This has made Techno 293 OD a true windsurfing phenomenon, one of the most dynamic race class in the world.
The BIC Sport vision of windsurfing is simple: learn fast, progress quickly, get into regattas and racing, spend time having fun on the water! We see windsurfing as one of the most accessible and affordable ways to get under sail and keep things simple. We wish you many unforgettable sessions in 2016 and hope to see you out there!

T293 ONE DESIGN
The World’s Largest Windsurfing Class The official worldwide-approved board for Junior Under 17 competitions, the Techno 293 One Design has seen its fleet numbers explode over the last few years. Today, there are more than 9000 Techno 293s sailing somewhere in the world, with a supporting competition program that is constantly growing. The 2014 World Championships, held in Brest in France, drew more than 400 competitors from 35 countries and 6 continents: a windsurfing record. The 2015 European Championships in Liepaja/Latvia were another huge success with 300 competitors from 25 countries. The Techno 293 OD is firmly established in numerous countries now and the 293 scene’s vitality has quickly made it the biggest windsurf fleet on the planet. The Techno 293 OD class launched a new sub-category, the Techno +, opening the One Design competition door to older riders/competitors. This format got a big success in Latvia and holds a great promise. To break into formula competitions where all equipment is equal, is high quality, is reasonably priced; to enable young riders all round the world to share the same passion, to make new friends and have great fun, the Techno 293 OD is a must !
T293 OD
Start, progress and race What helped the Techno 293 OD become such a successful Class Racing board was its
general performance and easy control. With a high volume and moderate outline, the Techno 293 OD provides a stable platform for learning to windsurf. A daggerboard provides directional stability and makes sailing upwind a breeze. In light winds, the near 3 m length helps the board really glide through the water, making windsurfing an exciting option in sub-planing conditions. Once the wind gets up, the concave hull helps boost the board onto the plane making for great funboard sailing. Its lightweight and solid construction ensure that performance and durability remain even after intensive use. Competition aside, the Techno 293 OD is ideal for learning and leisure funboarding. This versatility enables clubs to reduce their overheads and equipment costs by having just one board model from learning right through to racing. With high quality fittings it really is a reliable, high performance board, comfortable in all water conditions.

The Beach boards have been designed with sailing schools in mind, to offer them strong, practical and modern equipment. They are made using the technology already applied to BIC Sport kayaks and surfboards: the outer skin is in polyethylene, the same as that of BIC Sport kayaks, whose solidity is well-known, and the core of the boards is made of the same high-density polyurethane foam that is also inside the BIC DURA-TEC surfboards. Both Beach boards offer particularly good stability as well as being easy to handle, so that beginners can start to learn various moves. A new EVA foam pad, very hard-wearing, comfortable and anti-skid covers the deck. Both boards come with a retractable daggerboard that is solid and easy to handle.

SUP WIND
Windsurfing + SUP
SUP is great on calm days, but when the wind picks up most people put the paddle down. Not so with the WIND series of paddleboards, designed to keep you out on the water on windy days with features that convert your paddleboard to a windsurfer. There are three boards to choose from in the WIND series: 10’6 & 11’6 Performer (based on our best-selling Performer models) and the 10’6 SUP AIR.
10’6 Performer WIND
We took our best-selling 10’6 Performer model and added a mast insert for exciting windsurf performance.
Designed for wave surfing and more advanced users who are capable of tacking upwind even in light wind conditions.
11’6 Performer WIND
Like the 10’6 we designed the 11’6 WIND based on our best-selling 11’6 Performer model. Exceptionally stable,
the 11’6 is ideal for learning to windsurf as it features a fully retractable daggerboard which allows newbies to learn to tack upwind in the type of light wind conditions suitable for learning.
10’6 SUP AIR WIND
We added an extra fin in the center of the board together with a mast insert for true windsurf performance.
The center fin allows you to track upwind even in light wind while the mast insert lets you match your board with one of our turnkey rig packages (check them out in our windsurfing section or at bicsportwindsurf.com)
