RADICAL – IT IS!
French WIND magazine re-confirms this year that the board deserves its name and PLANCHEMAG likes it’s “ease to adjust carving turns”. The most outstanding honor for this JP shape is Morgan Noireaux’s victory at the Aloha Classic in Maui, Hawaii. Morgan made history by being the first sailor to win this most prestige’s wave event on the PWA World Tour two years in a row – riding a Radical Thruster Quad. The deep double concaves in the bottom are the distinguishing shape details of this design. Their deepest parts sit right under the straps creating long flat planing sections. Together with the wingers – which slightly widen the planing surface– these concaves enhance acceleration to a surprising speed. You’ll enjoy the lively and “light” feel based on the very short wetted planing area. The Vee cushions the ride and creates a well rounded bottom curve at the rails. As a result, the board turns tight easily offering ultimate rail bite. It instantly responds to every little input from the rider. The inexperienced wave rider will consider the board’s speed of reaction as nervous, while the targeted, advanced wave rider will love this liveliness, just as much as he will adore the super fast change from rail to rail.
D A U Q
The Radical excels in side to side off-shore conditions and keeps getting better and better, the stronger the wind and the bigger the waves get. Its strength? Firstly, it is the feeling that there would be absolutely no limits for radical riding. And secondly, the excessive amount of speed it can carry into the bottom turn in total control, remaining all time ready to smoothly adjust the turn in order to hit the lip where wanted at maximum pace. The proven quad fin setup offers the best blend of grip and control on fast waves. The rear center fin box for a thruster setup can be used for more power in light or side shore conditions or for more control in real big waves – currently Jason Polakow’s favorite setup.
>> According to our pro riders, you won’t find any better board for real down-the-line wave riding! You’ll be blown away by your high speed carving top and bottom turns. The board provides all the needed grip, control and liveliness throughout your wave moves. Every advanced waverider will simply love them as they take his riding to the next level. Go and get radical!

The British WINDSURF magazine comments that “the Slate is a sensation on the wave and had the team heading back out with a smile time and time again”. French PLANCHEMAG states it “is fun and effective onshore and side shore”. The Slate’s new outline concept totally stands out. It is very short with a wide, parallel outline from nose to tail. Seen in surfing before, this shape style was introduced by JP as the first major brand in the SUP range. The windsurf versions followed soon. The diamond nose and the swallow tail are the design features to draw your attention but it’s the short, wide outline making this board special! With lots of lift the Slate provides a fast and lively ride paired with top acceleration. You would not expect so much upwind power and speed in a dedicated wave design. Get used to its shortness, bear off knowing its sweet spot and the Slate will pop onto the plane and accelerate rapidly, feeling sharp and responsive underfoot. The boards create and maintain speed already on small waves helping to make marginal conditions very exciting! The shortness is base for feeling small and compact in the air as well as for accelerated
S
aerial rotations. Additionally, shorter boards fit better into smaller waves with the shorter rail line enabling to smoothly carve tight into steep sections without getting stuck. The flat V bottom flows into a deep single concave finishing off with a flat V at the tail. Consequently, the rail line has no flat section at all, making tight carves smooth. Changing from rail to rail happens super fast. The Slate powerfully accelerates through the bottom turn on small waves throwing tons of spray in the top turn. In thruster setup the Slate tracks well and carves with reliable grip. And this year, the boards come with a smaller tail fin and bigger side fins to enhance the grip and drive even more. The quad boxes allow to experiment with a 4 fin setup for more control and tighter turns. >> The ultimate wave all-rounder for marginal conditions! This fast and lively planer has a wide user appeal as it is powerful and fun when other boards are still banned to the beach. Suited for front and back foot riding styles, the Slate provides pivotally tight carving and an electrifying waveride. The ‘shorty’ fits into tight wave pockets making you rip and carve up small waves. Experience this exciting new riding sensation and rip hard in marginal conditions!

British WINDSURF’s final statement is that it “rewards positive rider input with bags of speed and energy, offering a unique blend of traditional familiar feel and cutting edge response tag”. French WIND likes its “efficiency and versatility in onshore and down-the-line waves”. Its overall wave performance, control and versatility make it the favorite model of the team riders like Robby Swift, Jules Denel and Leon Jamaer when traveling the world on the PWA tour. The bottom includes a moderate version of the Radcial’s deep double concaves and therefore features similar virtues: it is the waviest all-round JP wave board ever. The progressive Vee towards the tail results in a rather rockered rail line which – together with the new, additional curve in the outline– enhances the overall maneuverability. The speed it carries smoothly into the turn, its precise carving and instant response makes it shine in powerful side offshore conditions as well as it suits onshore waves. Compared to the Slate, this all-rounder has a gunny appearance resulting in an easy, very reliable, traditional wave board feel. Its predictability and control in a wide range of conditions are its strengths! The Thruster Quad is a fast and exciting board which builds up speed rapidly and feels lively
Q
and exciting. The speed potential comes from the flat bottom line inside the concaves under the foot straps lifting the board onto the plane early and accelerating rapidly. You can exploit its velocity in all water states to launch off every wave to insane height and thus it even qualifies as bump and jump high wind board. This season the boards come with a smaller tail fin and bigger side fins resulting in more grip and drive. The additional rear tail fin boxes allow to experiment with a quad set-up for additional control and tighter turns.

ONE FOR ALL FOREVER!
JP introduced the first Freestyle Wave in 2001. Subdue to constant shape evolution and fine tuning, the line is still state-of-the-art in its class. So, no matter how many brands copy JP’s concept or even the Freestyle Wave name, if you want the true original you don’t need to look anywhere else. British WINDSURF stated, “Perfectly at home on flat water, the 102 really comes into its own when used in a coastal environment .... highly recommended”. French PLANCHEMAG also selected it as favorite of its group stating, “It is also very effective in surf due to the flow of its turns, the quick transition from one rail to the other and a strong grip of the fins”. These lively and exciting boards are the ultimate boards for medium to strong winds. They are super fast across the wind and also upwind. They would make excellent straight line freeriders only, but they aren’t, simply because they are too much fun to carve and jump. See a little wave and you’ll be inspired to launch high into the sky like a rocket with the boards remaining in total control until touchdown. See a flat section and you will want to go for your next, ‘most radical’ jibe - ever! Yes, it’s in maneuvers where they really stand out: feeling like large wave boards they carve superbly whether you crank them hard or carve them smooth. Their reliable bite and grip in
fast turns will motivate you to carve harder and harder on their thin, sharp rails into the next jibe or bottom turn. Therefore the Freestyle Waves also qualify as JP’s fastest wave boards, suited for advanced riders with only little wave experience or for heavier riders or for those who sail in varying conditions. Due to their speed it is easy to accelerate to ‘your’ perfect section of the onshore wave or side shore roller. The short and compact boards offer sufficient stability and the well rounded dome deck ensures a very comfortable stance in the straps, no matter if they are mounted inboard for maneuvers or nearer to the rail for freeride performance.

Our riders were super happy with the boards and their success proves them right. On the PWA tour Amado Vrieswijk, in his first JP season, achieved his maiden podium to finish 3rd on the tour. Steven van Broeckhoven won the first event of the year but missed the rest of the PWA season due to an injury. The EFPT 2015 was the most successful ever as four JP riders finished amongst the top-5 with Amado Vrieswijk in first, Steven van Broeckhoven in 2nd, Yentel Caers in 4th and Julien Mas in 5th position. For this season the most popular sizes in our range are updated with a radical new concept - the 92 and 102’s shortness and new outlines catch everyone‘s attention instantly. The new generation is more compact and equipped with a striking new nose shape. More impressive moves require faster rotations. Therefore, all the swing weight is centered close to the mast base and turning point of the board. Due to the compact set up the riders stand close to the rig in a very comfortable stance. This is obligatory not only for big moves but also for sailing in regular stance or when going switch. A higher water position for the board and looser ride was on our priority list as well. This is something our riders cannot get enough off. The new bottom concept has a new V-flow to create enormous lift underfoot and to achieve higher top speed and instant pop.
They are stable wide platforms to cover the biggest possible range. The centered volume distribution is the basis of all our Freestyle boards. The outline is rather parallel in the mid-section to maximize the planing surface. The rounder outline towards the tail improves maneuverability and unmatched pop not just for your first jump but also for your following air moves performed during combination moves.

The sharp tuck line running from the tail to the mast area is responsible for great grip and drive that creates maximum speed instantly. Towards the nose a super soft tuck line offers an easy transition from aerial maneuvers into sliding tricks by stopping the rail from catching. The new freestyle fins can absorb a bit of extra power from the rider without spinout and thus are faster. The slightly smaller tip with less resistance speeds up your rotation in sliding moves. >> All the Freestyle boards are fast accelerators for powerful jumps. The shortness of the two new shapes enhances the handling in all moves and speeds up all rotations. The lively and direct feel imposes confidence that amateurs and pros alike will pull-off more moves in greater style.

L L A SPORTY FREERIDE CLASSICS
These two multipurpose, medium wind freemove shapes unite the advantages of the Freestyle Wave and Super Sport boards. They plane early, are comfortable to ride and really fast. But most of all they feel sporty as they deliver an electric feeling when cruising at high speed and carving hard. Both shapes have been modernized and fine-tuned lately but still come in a traditional shape and outline concept (not widebody). As a consequence the boards feature all the virtues that a traditional shape has over those of the new modern widebody freeriders. They feel and ride very predictable as you know it from your previous freeride boards. They are just faster because they have bottom shape features of the Super Sports. The long planing surface creates efficient lift delivering the sensational flying feeling when blasting along. The loose water position makes it easy for riders of all levels to exploit its outstanding performance. Being narrower, the ride feels at all times comfortable and controllable cushioning chop competently.
Compared to the wide body freeride boards they carve jibes in an almost wavy style – here you can feel the similarities to their Freestyle Wave brothers. The slim, narrow tail width provides less lift and therefore initiating a jibe is very easy and smooth and if wanted you can turn very tight. Compared to the new generation wide body boards you will need to be a bit more advanced to keep your full speed through the whole jibe.
>> These sporty all-rounders are the embodiment of pure freeriding. It is an absolute pleasure to ride them in flat water and chop as they combine a great speed potential with control and comfort. They will encourage you to push your jibes and also to carve lines in some open ocean swells. Plug and play windsurfing – jump on and have fun.

TOTALLY MAGIC
The second generation of these extra wide, short and thin freeride boards provides super early planing, an easy, exciting ride and unbelievable jibing abilities for all rider levels. The new 103 follows the shape amendments of its bigger brothers and the new 97 extends the range to 7 models. The new boards provide a higher water position, making the boards release easily with a lively ride and improved performance. These new 97 and 103 are more stable, comfortable and super easy to control compared to Freestyle Waves or All Rides of the same size, planing earlier and requiring less input from the rider. They are playful small freeriders delivering the lively feel which makes windsurfing so exciting. All Magic Rides plane unbelievably early for their size. The performance and top speed of the 2nd generation also improved simply because of the light and easy handling when blasting along. Flying on the fin they provide directional stability and the vee and double concaves seem to iron out all chop. When you want to select the right board size for yourself look at the width of traditional “narrow” freeriders or go for about 15L less volume to get the same range. But your new

Magic Ride will feel smaller and more compact and will jibe like a smaller board. It pretty much jibes by itself. Push the rail and it will carve predictably, smooth and incredibly easy. No matter if you are just starting to jibe and need forgiveness from your board or if you want sportiness – which is where the 2nd generation of Magic Rides excels as they can carve harder and tighter and exit with more speed. When swapping from traditional narrow boards you have to get used to the ride and feel of the new wide body boards. Once you slightly adapt your style you will be rewarded with a magic ride and will probably never want to go back to a narrow shape. >> The Magic Rides up to the 130 are lively, sporty and fast widebody freeriders while the 142 and 154 were shaped with the beginners and intermediates in mind and are more forgiving and comfortable offering easier handling to advance quickly.

CLASSIC LIGHTWIND FREERIDING
Since more that 12 years the name X-Cite Ride is the trademark for comfortable and sporty free riding and the current version with the ‘Plus’ is no exception. Outstanding test reports have confirmed this. The French WIND magazine made the 135 their test winner because it can be sailed “with eyes closed”. And the German SURF likes the 125 because it “planes particularly effortlessly and you won’t notice a planing barrier”. The 6th X-Cite Ride generation features the latest and best traditional shape and outline concepts. As such they offer all the virtues that narrower shapes offer over those of the new modern widebody freeriders. You step on them and feel immediately at home. They feel and ride very predictable as you know it from your previous freeride boards. Sailors – who do not like how the wide body freeride boards feel and ride or won’t adapt their riding style – will find it much easier to exploit the full performance of the X-Cite Rides and make them much faster. The even bottom curve and the long planing surface allow the boards to release easily. They plane super smoothly, without requiring an active style of sailing. And with the loose water position the boards accelerate to exciting speeds already in marginal winds. Being
NT GE22 N VA NB
narrower, they feel at all times comfortable and super controllable even in very rough waters cushioning chop competently. The curve in the tail outline improves the maneuverability. If you want you can carve these big lightwind boards hard and crank them into tight turns. It is a pleasure for the advanced sailor to drive the board though the turn on its rail and exit with speed. Very forgiving in the turn, they are equally well suited for the not so advanced jiber and his careful jibe approaches. The even deck radius gives you a secure, comfortable stance. The straps are in the right position for novices and advanced riders alike and the feet will find them “with eyes closed”.

FASTER THAN EVER
These all new shapes deliver explosive acceleration and electrifying speed like World Cup Slalom boards but are way easier to get going and are more comfortable to ride. Here are some comments from magazines about the former Super Sport generation: The French WIND liked the feeling of a “TGV without breaks” and the British WINDSURF enjoyed the “effortless performance in marginal conditions and the opportunity to efficiently cover vast distances in real comfort”. The new generation represents a huge step forward in every aspect and they now come with Tuttlebox and high performance G10 Slalom fins. They are much shorter and overall wider. Thus, the outlines are more parallel and the planing surfaces are bigger to lift the boards up onto the plane instantly. The more centered volume increases top end control. Additionally, the new concave deck around the mast base lowers the rig which also improves control. The super loose ride and higher water position is based on the new bottom shape - a combination of flat sections, concaves and various V flows produces additional lift
right under the straps. Therefore the boards feel very light under foot flying over chop and offering a totally new sailing sensation! The new cut-outs create basically two outlines for the board. The wide one in the deck gives you a very powerful stance and you can push your board to maximum speed. The narrow one in the bottom reduces the tail lift resulting in a much smoother ride and better control. The cut-outs also create thin rails - which makes it is easier to rail up the board at high speeds and carve through the jibe. They come with a new, very comfortable deck shape. The higher standing position offers better leverage, creating more fin pressure for instant acceleration and top end performance. For the advanced rider the outboard footstraps are further back while the intermediate rider will prefer the more forward, inboard position for easier strap access. >> These new Super Sports will seriously surprise you as on one hand they are more powerful and a lot faster while on the other hand they are still smoother and easier to control. They provide a more alive feel paired with a thrilling ride. The upgraded maneuverability increases the fun that you’ll have on these fastest Super Sport boards ever! Those boards will blow your mind and your friends off the water.

NEW LIGHTWIND ACCELERATION
The all new Super Lightwind will blow your mind as it gets going in almost no wind, reaches top speed immediately and is comfortable and easy to sail for a high performance freeride board of this size. Werner Gnigler’s 4th generation of the Super Lightwind combines shape details from his latest Slalom, Super Sport and Formula development. It is 10 cm shorter now and feels clearly more compact! Equipped with a wide nose and a parallel outline through the mid section giving it the maximum planing surface. Double concaves in the bottom under the straps create maximum lift and acceleration. The long, flat waterline helps to push the board onto the plane. The efficient bottom shape provides a super lively and electrifying riding sensation. The new cut-outs create basically two outlines for the board. The wide one in the deck gives you a very powerful stance and you can push your board to maximum speed. The narrow one in the bottom reduces the wetted surface area and the enormous amount of pressure produced by modern fins can release easily. Therefore, the board feels stable and forgiving even on fast downwind runs. The much smoother and controlled ride encourages the rider to push for unlimited speed. The cut-outs also create thin rails - which makes it is easier to rail up the board at high speeds and carve through the jibe.
the board nicely trimmed on all courses.
The new deck shape delivers great comfort as the higher standing position offers better leverage, creating more fin pressure for instant acceleration and top end performance. The advanced rider will prefer the outboard footstraps which are further back while the intermediate rider will enjoy the more inboard and further forward position which makes it very easy to get in and out of the straps The new Super Lightwind gets planing even earlier and is substantially faster than its predecessor. Additionally it is much smoother to ride and easier to control. The reduced wetted bottom surface creates the ‘lighter feel’ of a smaller board and a lively, thrilling ride. You have to try to it believe how much fun you can have in almost no wind.

Due to the reduced width, volume and dynamic lift of the tail, initiating the jibe requires less effort and guiding this wide board on its rail though the turn is clearly easier. PUSH THE PEDAL TO THE METAL
We never put more effort into developing our Slalom line. Werner Gnigler made more prototypes than ever. Our main riders lead by Malte Reuscher and Nico Warembourg tested them around the globe to make sure that they work in all kind of conditions. It was great to see how motivated and hardworking those young talents were - and it paid off. The new generation is based on the concept we introduced in 2016 were radical changes took place. Fine-tuning each size, optimizing and matching all shape details for great overall performance was the goal. Sometimes those changes look small but they make all the difference on the race course were often only a few meters decide if you make it to the top. The base is a short compact board with a rather parallel outline maximizing the planing surface around the mast base. This lifts the boards instantly onto the plane. With the sunk-in deck we lowered the rig position and achieved great top end control. We want maximum lift to get going immediately. With the new fine-tuned tail cut-outs we are able to handle this lift and let the boards fly over the water as they release the pressure towards the tail. Going fast requires less physical effort. The cut-outs create two tail outlines. The deck outline is wider and lets the rider push
harder towards the fin - resulting in better acceleration and a looser, faster ride. The narrower bottom outline reduces the wetted surface. You basically ride on a smaller board. This narrow bottom tail creates a lot of outline curve which allows the rider to trim the board perfectly and steer it with little effort. The bottom features a combination of a flat mid section, with V further forward and towards the tail. The flat section between the straps produces additional lift which lets the board fly. The V further forward and in the tail makes it easy to initiate your jibes. The V in the tail opens up the rail line and additionally helps to release pressure. The deck shapes enables the rider to push hard and feel very connected. The bigger sizes have fuller rails for better leverage and on the smaller boards the rails become slightly rounder. This makes it easier to get in and out the straps. We increased our range to 7 sizes. The 3 new high wind boards 55, 60 and 62 do not only cater for intense Slalom racing but are also perfectly suited for Long Distance Racing like the DEFI Wind. For the medium winds we developed a new 68 and left the 71 unchanged. For light wind we developed 2 new shapes the 82 and 85. Chose the sizes that fit to your size and weight and push the pedal to the metal.

For that daredevil inside you! There is nothing like the feeling of flying down a speed course totally maxed out and being right on the edge. This is what these boards are made for. They are designed and developed for those who have the guts to sheet-in – no matter what.
This shape looks substantially different to all previous JP Formula designs with a shorter hull, a more parallel outline and a squared off nose. Thus, the rider can make use of the longest possible parallel rail line on the upwind course. At the same time, it produces a very stable platform on the downwind legs producing efficient lift to fly over chop. The entry and nose rocker are well pronounced in order to make the ride over chop safe and fast. The deep concave on the deck lowers the mast base and reduces the swing weight in the nose area. You can keep the rig more upright, which adds efficiency and creates more down force keeping the board nicely trimmed on all courses. In the bottom, double concaves under the straps maximize lift and acceleration. Upwind, you can use the long waterline length. Downwind, the wetted surface can be reduced by railing up the board and only riding on a narrow section. The tail shape features two cut-outs for the most efficient water release and to substantially reduce the lift at the tail. The comfortable standing area offers better leverage to channel the fin power into acceleration and speed. The fastest JP Formula board – ever. Ready to race!
Rocket-like acceleration, super loose feel and almost unlimited top speed: This is what these boards are made for. Take the biggest sail you can possibly hold, sheet in and experience the feeling of flying down a speed course - totally maxed out and right on the edge. Hans Kreisel proved with the JP Speed 45 that these boards can handle and control speeds up to 100 km/h more which imposes confidence when the fear level might take over. They are designed and developed for those who have the guts to constantly push their limit. This year the Speed 54 is re-vitalized as it offers more power and pace when the winds are light for speed sailing.

Specially designed according to the needs of the new generation, these boards feature a reduced stance width and a shorter distance between footstrap plugs for more narrow feet and also with many different footstrap options for youngsters of all sizes and sailing levels. They work for young guns up to around 50 kilos. YOUNG GUN RADICAL THRUSTER QUAD The scaled down version of the board that won Morgan Noireaux the Aloha Classic -twice- features all the shape details of its bigger brothers: Deep concaves under the foot straps which create a long flat section for great acceleration and speed. Once railed up the curvy rail line takes over and easily slices the water: A new dimension in grip, control and speed throughout your wave moves! A super soft tuck line with slightly less overall width makes the board respond a lot quicker and changing from rail to rail is faster. It delivers unmatched performance for light riders to hit the waves. Never before has it been so easy for a light weight to rip so determined, dedicated and hard – THE board for all young guns who have the courage to hit the surf hard! YOUNG GUN MAGIC RIDE This shape is very wide providing stability. Youngsters also get on the plane much quicker and initiating turns is easy due to the round outline. • Fun from the very first minute • Very stable • You will be sailing back and forth happily on your first day • Very easy to tack and jibe • Progresses together with you
YOUNG GUN AIR INFLATABLE YOUNG GUN FUN Awesome handling advantages: It can be rolled up and fits into the backpack it comes with – no more need for a roof rack for transport and no big garage for storage. It is also considerably lighter than any hardboard of this size. For paddling you could even take it in the backpack to the beach with your bike. The high tech drop stitch technology makes it so stiff that you will easily get it gliding but the surface itself is so soft that you won’t hurt yourself when falling on it. Instead of a daggerboard the additional center fin provides directional stability to reduce side drift and helps to go upwind. Being longer than the normal Young Guns also helps with going upwind due to its longer waterline length. This board offers so much fun and is a great kids toy.

EXPLORE INFLATABLE FUN
They combine the stability a beginner needs with the sporty planing feel an advanced rider wants. Contrary to wide body beginner boards like the Funsters, the Explorers feature rather narrow and long hulls. As soon as you master the basics of windsurfing they lift up to a glide in light winds instantly offering that ‘Funboard feeling’. Once planing they feel fast, sporty and alive.
This inflatable version of the Explorer offers the same basic concept like its hard board siblings but additionally has awesome handling advantages: It can be rolled up and fits into the backpack it comes with – no more need for a roof rack for transport and no big garage for storage. It is also considerably lighter than any hardboard of this size. The high tech drop stitch technology makes it so stiff that you will easily get it gliding but the surface itself is so soft that you won’t get hurt when falling on it.
They work great as beginner boards and shine with their enormous range of use, progressively unleashing their sporty potential the better you get! Play, learn, cruise, glide and have fun in all conditions. They cover it all – true all-round funboards.

VISION: 2 RIGS FOR BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATES AND SCHOOLS!
The VISION rig remains unchanged this year and is performance oriented and durable. The moderately loose leech allows the sail to perform also when the wind picks up a bit. One set contains a sail, a boom with uphaul, a fitting two-piece mast and mast foot and this whole rig comes in a neat bag for easy storage and transport. The VISION-X rig is new in the line with 2 main advantages: The sail has less battens for optimized handling and reduced weight. It also comes with a 3 respectively 4 piece mast so that it can be stored in the smaller package than you considered possible! The ultimate in storage and transport. EQUIPMENT BAG VISION X

Windsurfing and standup paddling: This board is an ideal family toy which works equally well in both sports as a pure beginner board as well as fun board for the advanced. It’s big fun and can get you on the water at any time – for fun, adventure or for a workout – or all together. Plenty of length and volume offer extra stability. It comes with a fully retractable dagger board, which provides stability and makes it effortless to sail upwind. While it works great for flat-water paddling or a first windsurf session on flat water, it can also be used in small waves - for both sports.

Both rigs feature a full-Dacron® sail with PVC window which is light, strong, UV resistant and very durable for everyday use. The use of the Vision rigs last year in windsurfing centers all over the world was definitely the toughest test! The soft sail material provides great feedback for beginners and is very forgiving at the same time. Sail features for durability and against wear and tear: • FULL DACRON® SAIL WITH PVC WINDOW (NO MONOFILM!) • PLASTIC BATTEN PROTECTION • BLIND-STITCHED FOOT AREA • REINFORCED CLEW • PADDED MAST FOOT PROTECTOR • LIGHT FIX-TOP
