The ideal IMCS needs to give a soft feeling, comfort but needs to be stiff enough to donate power and stability.

In strong wind it needs to stabilize the sail, in light wind it needs to help the breathing of the top and the pumping of the higher part of the sail.

Most of the masts might look the same, but often produced by different manufactures with different machinery, materials, and technology. The mast is a very important accessory for our rig. It’s the back bone of your windsurfing sail. The same as having a suit tailor made.

A large 9m slalom sail have different qualities and performance characteristics from a 5m slalom sail which is used in strong wind. The curve and stiffness of the mast needs to be developed accordingly. Our curves are progressive, and each mast length has a specific curve to work best in that specific condition. Shorter mast lengths are having softer bases and stiffer tops to guarantee comfort and stability, longer mast lengths are stiffer in the base and softer in the top to give more power in light winds and breathing of the sail.

ALU+DOUBLE XXL PULLEY EXTENSION

The 2XXL pulleys allow to downhaul the sail with much less power than normal wheel size. More logic to insert the rope in the pulleys. The cleat has no bridge on top to guide the rope when down hauling. This gives much more freedom to pull, less friction, and when connecting the 2 characteristics, it makes the down hauling much lighter and easier. There is no need to have cleats on both sides for rigging on port tack or starboard tack as the cleat is free and easy to lock the rope on both tacks.

ALU+DOUBLE CLEAT EXTENSION

The pulley and cleat system is attached directly onto the aluminium tubing, with no crossing lines. With the brass rollers, downhaul efforts are reduced to the absolute minimum. The extension tubes are made with strong T8 grade aluminium and are available in lengths of 32 cm/48 cm with adjustment increments for every 2cm. The extensions can be sailed at the full 32cm or 48cm extension heights and are supplied with the original Marlow 3.8mm Formuline rope
