Hoagies For Heroes Hoagie Building Competition
BRICK – Mayor Crate, Council President Heather deJong, and Council members Vince Minichino, Perry Albanese and Melissa Travers were honored to be a part of the ceremonial ribbon cutting for Wawa located at 10 Lanes Mill Road. Mayor Crate joined the Brick Township Police Department’s team for the Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition. The Brick Police competed against Herbertsville Fire Department.
Wawa will be donating $1,000 to the Brick Police charity of choice, Helping Hands. Hoagies for Heroes is one of Wawa’s ways of showing their support and appreciation to the men and women who serve as everyday heroes; local firefighters, police officers and emergency responders. Hoagies for Heroes is a charity fundraising contest that benefits the charity of choice of the participating everyday hero.
