NEW! Enrol and pay online for all leisure courses
At Mid Cheshire we offer an extensive range of Adult courses. You could even train for a new career. Welcome to our new Adult Education Prospectus for 2012. As usual, the booklet is full of interesting courses that will help you to achieve your ambitions, further your career or, perhaps, ignite a new leisure interest. This has been a wonderful year for Mid Cheshire College. In September 2010 we opened our new £10m campus in the heart of Winsford which has proved to be a great success. We have recently completed a £7.5m project to create new facilities for Sport and the Creative Arts at the Hartford Campus. As an “outstanding” Grade 1 institution, Mid Cheshire College is now recognised as one of the very best-performing colleges in the country. Every September we welcome hundreds of new students to the College. I hope you will be joining us this year. John Reilly, Principal

Apprenticeships
If you are aged over 16 and are leaving, or have left full-time education, an Apprenticeship lets you earn as you learn. As an Apprentice you will be trained in skills you need for the career you have chosen, whilst you work towards a qualification. Your employer will pay your wages and give you ‘on the job training’. Mid Cheshire College will provide you with additional training and guidance to enable you to attain the Key Skills, QCF and Technical Certificate which make up the Apprenticeship qualification. First, you will need to decide which career suits you best! There is an Apprenticeship in most areas of industry, commerce and business, including Accounting, Beauty Therapy, Business Administration, Childcare, Construction Trades (Wood Occupations/Trowel Occupations),
Customer Service, Electrical Installation, Engineering, Hairdressing, Health & Social Care, Hospitality & Catering, IT, Management, Motor Vehicle/Motorcycle, Plumbing, Retail, Team Leading. You can register on the vacancy matching website at www.apprenticeships.org.uk and you will have the opportunity to look at vacancies from employers. Getting paid while you learn might sound too good to be true – but as an Apprentice you really do get the best of both worlds.
Discover what it takes to go further Call the Employer Services Team on 01606 720643 or 01606 74444. 11
