JONATHAN WOODGATE When the shutters came down on the season back in March, I didn’t know if I’d be writing these notes again this season, but I’m glad to be doing so now, knowing we are in a position to resume playing in a safe and controlled environment. We’ve said all along that we were keen to play again and ensure the season is finished in the correct manner, but only if it is safe to do so. We have followed the advice of the authorities and the government, and I know a lot of hard work has gone on to ensure that we are able to restart the season again. It’s been a surreal and harrowing time and the safety and well-being of people has – and remains to be – of
paramount importance to us all. The “new norm”, as it is being dubbed, starts at the Riverside for us with our first behind-closed-doors fixture. We have already had a couple of games here to get used to playing in an empty stadium and get a feel for how things will be in the coming weeks. Our support is one of our biggest assets, and the only disappointment is that we won’t have your backing in the stadium. But, hopefully, you’ll be following the game via our Matchday LIVE service, and we know you’ll be right behind us as always. After next weekend’s trip to Stoke, the games really do come thick and fast as we look to finish the season
in the space of a month. It’ll be a test for every squad at every club in the Championship – but it’s the same for everyone. It seems a long time ago that we were celebrating that win down at Charlton, but here we are over three months down the line playing our next league fixture. In normal times, we’d have been returning to preseason training next week, but as it is we’ve still got a month of football ahead of us now. The players worked on individual programmes during the lockdown period and have done well since we were able to return to Rockliffe. It has been a mini pre-season of sorts, but the real stuff starts again now, and we have to carry on where we left off in London in March. Before the game there will be a round of applause for our NHS key workers. I’m sure like me you showed your support and appreciation by clapping for our carers on a Thursday evening during lockdown, and I’m sure you’ll join us again as we all show our appreciation. #UTB

Pride of the North: MFC wins Community Club award MFC has been recognised as winners of the EFL Community Club of the Year Award for the North East & Yorkshire region at the Houses of Parliament. We are one of six regional winners selected for the programmes we deliver in a number of important areas, including diversity and inclusion, education and health, and well-being. MFC Foundation launched a new community strategy with a core principle of “making a difference by being different”. Through a number of specific projects, such as RiverSideBySide and “The Boro Bus” it has been able to improve community cohesion, health provisions and education in one of the most deprived areas of the country for over 35,000 people. MFC and the other five clubs were honoured with their awards at the House of Commons earlier this month. The overall winner of the 2020 Community Club of the Year Award would have been announced at the EFL Awards in April, but the event was cancelled.
Rudy launches new foundation Rudy Gestede and his wife Hawa have launched the Jaarma Foundation, with the aim to build a centre to support children across West Africa. The Boro striker and his wife set up the foundation to build homes for orphans and provide them with care and support. The first home will be built in Benin, who Gestede represents internationally, and will provide care for 10 children, who will receive quality education and will be cared for by fully trained staff and volunteers. Rudy said: “The mission of the Jaarma Foundation is to build homes for orphans across West Africa. Our desire is to give back to our West African roots. Hawa and I have always wanted to adopt at least one child, thus our desire to support and nurture orphans. “We appeal for your generosity... Your donations will help build this home and will provide the ongoing support, staffing, food, clothing, education, medical treatment, and recreational activities for the children in our care. “No amount is too small. Help us make a difference to the lives of these children.”
FEBRUARY’S GOAL-DEN BOY
Sam Folarin was our February Goal of the Month winner for his strike for our U23s against Blackburn Rovers. Sam beat Lewis Wing, who was shortlisted for his goals against Brentford and Wigan, and Ashley Fletcher, who also scored at Brentford.

Boro Icons – The Duke
A modern-day Boro great, Mark Viduka spoke to us from Croatia during the UK lockdown as part of our Boro Icons series. The Australian marksman, who remains the Riverside Stadium’s top scorer, took time out from the re-opening of his coffee shop tojoin us on a video call from Zagreb to reflect on his three seasons at Boro. From joining Boro to leading the club to the UEFA Cup final, Viduka offers a unique insight into his time on Teesside.
EFL says thank-you to key workers
All EFL clubs will come together this weekend to recognise the brave efforts of our NHS key workers who have continued to support our wider communities throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Players from across the three divisions will wear shirts featuring an “NHS Rainbow – Thank You” emblem and a period of applause will take place prior to all matches from 18-21 June 2020, as clubs and players collectively display their gratitude for those working on the frontline. Over the past three months, the EFL, its clubs and club community organisations have paid their own special tributes, with many working closely alongside their local NHS Trusts, donating resources, providing facilities for use and organising player or manager content to say thank you. In addition to the emblem on playing shirts and minute’s applause, clubs will also show their continued support through their own media channels and through various in-stadia displays during the selected fixtures. The “NHS Rainbow – Thank You” emblem will also remain on playing shirts for all remaining fixtures of the 2019/20 Season. EFL chairman Rick Parry said: “As all eyes turn to the return of football on the pitch, it is important that the League pays fitting tribute to the thousands of NHS key workers that continue to work on the frontline, supporting the country throughout the Covid-19 crisis. “We know that many fans of EFL clubs are also NHS key workers and we’re proud of the commitment they, and our clubs, have shown to help the service over the past few months. By coming together across all remaining fixtures taking place, we hope we are able to show our gratitude and appreciation for their continued work and I’d like to ask all fans to join us in doing so.” Ahead of the re-start, the EFL also made preparations to raise further awareness on the issue of racism and appropriately offer support to our colleagues, friends and members of the wider community who continue to be subjected to unacceptable forms of discrimination. facebook.com/MFCofficial

WILLIAM SIGNS UP Left-back William Kokolo has linked up with Boro’s Academy after signing a two-year contract. The 19-year-old was previously with Sunderland, and came through the youth ranks at Monaco before his switch to the Stadium of Light in 2017. William, who can also operate on the wing, had a short loan stint with Darlington last season where he made nine appearances in total for the Quakers.

US VERSUS THEM SWANSEA CITY Today is the 48th meeting between the two clubs. We have won 19, Swansea 17, and 11 have ended even... HE’S FROM WHERE?!? In October 1962 Bryan Orritt became only the fourth Boro player to be sent off at home. He was Boro’s first substitute and played in every position – including keeper. Bryan was Welsh and remains the only Boro player from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
LAST TIME HERE Honours ended even last season here when we met in the September. Neither side was able to find a goal in a 0-0 stalemate.
A HERO FOR BOTH Mel Nurse is a hero on both Teesside and Taweside. He joined Boro from Swansea in 1959, scored the goal that relegated Swansea in 1965 and then rejoined them. He saved the Swans in 2001 by clearing the debts, buying it from the unpopular Australian owners and transferring it to a supporters’ trust. He came from the same street in Swansea which not only produced John and Mel Charles, but no less than seven Welsh internationals.
FOUR-STAR PERFORMERS The two most lethal strikers in Boro history both scored four at home to Swansea – George Camsell in a 7-1 win in December 1926, and Brian Clough in a 6-2 win in March 1959.
DID YOU KNOW? Mel Nurse was once arrested on suspicion of being Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs on the run as he was driving his Jaguar down Linthorpe Road. facebook.com/MFCofficial

JOB INTERVIEW Plenty of professional footballers won’t have ever faced a job interview – but this season we’re changing that! In a regular feature for #UTB, we take a selection of the 50 most-asked job interview questions and put them to one of the Boro’s squad. On loan from Manchester City, Lukas Nmecha is next... Hi, Lukas. What would your manager say are areas that you need to develop more? Hi there. I would say shoot more. I’ve got a good shot, so I’d just say I need to use it more. What that you’ve accomplished are you most proud of? Scoring for Manchester City in the Carabao Cup. Describe a time when you failed, and how you responded. I’d say I failed at Wolfsburg because I didn’t play and I responded by leaving! Then I’ve come here to play.
What do you feel makes you unique? I just love playing football – not sure if that makes me unique, though! I’m not that unique, but I like playing football. God gave me the talent for it so I’m just trying to use it. How do you measure success? Health and good family – that’s success for me.
What’s a goal you have for selfimprovement in the next year? To get my stats up.
Lukas Nmec 14
What’s your work style like? I’m not overly relaxed. When I get into it, I’m fully into it. But I try not to think about it too much. For example, before a game, I don’t over-think it, I just do my thing. What would your personal motto be? We go again! How do you deal with stressful situations? I just zone out. If I’m stressed about football, I just go and see my family or friends and then I pick myself up after that. What are you passionate about? Football, my faith and my family.
What three words would your friends use to describe you? Funny, unique and nice! What school subjects did you like the most/the least? The most was maths. The least was English or science. PE was good, but once I did my options at school I didn’t choose it because I was playing football anyway. Are you a risk taker? Yeah, I’m a risk taker. Well, with football I reckon I’m a risk taker – but with life, maybe not so much! Tell us one thing about yourself we won’t know. When I lived in Germany I used to do judo! I used to be really active as a kid, so it was something that enabled me to release some energy. Who are your heroes? Football heroes – I really liked Thierry Henry. For life, I like Kaka. He’s a Christian like me and he’s not really selfcentred, he gives the glory to God and loves it.
echa
What do you do in your spare time? Does it benefit your day-today job? Out of football I do a lot of gym stuff to make sure I don’t get injured. Apart from that I just chill and play PS4.
If you were going to start a business, what would you start? I’m starting out a clothing brand at the minute. I can’t tell you what it’s called yet, though!

What’s the best movie you’ve seen in the past year? Probably Bad Boys 2.

FOUNDATION HELP YOUNGSTERS TO SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD Over 200 schoolchildren from four schools packed into two lounges in the Riverside back in March as Cleveland Police, the North Riding County FA and Show Racism The Red Card put on a series of fun and educational workshops. Pupils from Abingdon, Berwick Hills, Breckon Hill and Newport Primary Schools came together in a friendly and welcoming environment to learn about social inclusion and togetherness. As part of the workshops the children and their teachers worked with the Foundation and three different organisations and had a look behind the scenes as they enjoyed a guided tour of the stadium.

TEESSIDE PROVIDES THE WELCOME AS COUNTRIES CLUB TOGETHER Refugees and persons seeking asylum came together for something of a local derby on a bracing day by the sea before lockdown began. As anyone who has been to Redcar knows, the wind whipping in off the season can be, er, a fresh one. It didn’t take a group consisting of six nationalities long to warm up on a bright day however, as men, often fleeing persecution in their homeland, met in a small corner of North East
England. An area they hope will become a new and welcome place they can call home. The tide had not long since ebbed to leave a perfect playing surface for a game that saw participants currently housed in Middlesbrough and Redcar come together – some meeting for the first time thousands of miles away from home. Foundation staff set up temporary goals, marked out the pitch and
then, accompanied by the Methodist Asylum Project (MAP), watched on as, for a couple of hours anyway, troubles and challenges were forgotten, replaced by smiles and something that crosses all continents, competition. 7 We were saddened to learn of the passing of one of Boro’s oldest supporters, Molly Martland (20 January1918 – 28 February 2020). RIP Molly. 8 In loving memory of Paul Andrew “Bren” Brennan (2 March 1967 – 4 November 2019). Bren’s family have kept his Season Card going so they and his friends – including 48 non-Season Card holders – had purchased tickets for the game at the Riverside on 14 March and were to have gathered to remember him and celebrate what would have been his 53rd birthday. His memory never fades...

MATCHDAY LIVE
Boro fans can watch the end to our 2019/20 Championship campaign via a new, improved Matchday LIVE streaming service. Our 2019/20 Season Card holders are being given free access by the club to watch all Boro’s remaining nine fixtures, home and away. With the exception of matches chosen for live Sky Sports broadcast, non-Season Card holders will be able to buy streams on a match-by-match basis. To date, one upcoming Boro match has been selected for live Sky coverage, against Hull City on Thursday 2 July (kick-off 5pm). We’ve invested significantly in a new streaming website so that supporters can enjoy the best possible matchday experience save for being at the Riverside. More details on accessing the new Matchday LIVE site will follow, but for the latest information please read our updated FAQs below which include how Season Card holders will redeem their free subscription.
MATCHDAY LIVE: FAQS Which matches can I watch? Our 2019/20 Season Card holders can watch ALL of Boro’s remaining nine league matches of the season free of charge. Matches chosen for live Sky Sports broadcast will only be available to video stream for 2019/20 Season Card holders*. Commentary from the BBC Tees Sport team will be available as an audio-only alternative for other supporters, costing £3 per match. For matches not on Sky Sports, non-Season Card holders can purchase video passes on a match-by-match basis. Passes cost £10 per match for UK-based supporters and £5 for supporters based overseas. Supporters with an existing Matchday LIVE subscription, either UK commentary-only over overseas video stream, this will remain valid for the resumption of the 2019/20 season. As above, this will not allow supporters to watch games selected 26
by Sky Sports, which will also be made available to the EFL’s international broadcast partners. *Please note, Season Card holders will not be able to watch video streams of live Sky Sports fixtures if they are currently based in some overseas countries.
I’m a 2019/20 Season Card holder. How do I redeem my subscription? All of our 2019/20 Season Card holders have been sent a code which can be redeemed to watch via Matchday LIVE. Most will be sent this code via the email address given when purchasing their Season Card. These emails were distributed on Monday 15 June. If your Season Card was purchased by someone else on your behalf using their email address, they will also receive the email code on your behalf. For the small number of supporters who do not have not registered email address on their ticketing account, we distributed your code via the post early this week. Each code can only be used only once, and will allow streaming access to all nine games. You will need a free MFC Digital Account to redeem the code. For more info on how to set up, please see the “Do I need an account” section below. I’m a non-Season Card Holder. How do I buy a subscription? Passes will be available to purchase on a match-by-match basis from the new Matchday LIVE website.
Do I need an account? All supporters will require a free MFC Digital Account to use our Matchday LIVE streaming service. Many fans will already have an MFC Digital Account set up, which can be used to log-in seamlessly between our main website and app as well as ticketing and retail. You can set up your account for free – it requires only a valid email address and a few minutes to set up. Go to MFC Digital Account How can I watch? Our new Matchday LIVE website will be accessible on desktop devices. In line with EFL regulations, if you are accessing the stream on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, you must watch via the MFC Official App. We strongly recommend ensuring that your App is updated to the latest version. Downloads: • Apple users can download the Middlesbrough FC Official app from the App Store • Android users can download the Middlesbrough FC Official app from Google Play For our recommended settings and system operators, click here Can I watch the matches on demand? After a match has been played, you can find “Full 90” replays in the following days via our main website mfc.co.uk

AYRESOME MEMORIES This season is the 25th since we left Ayresome Park, our home of 92 years, to move into a new Riverside Stadium. SHAUN WILSON looks back at the old ground, its matches, players and stories...
HORSFIELD STEPS UP
February 1964 saw the departure of prolific striker Alan Peacock to Leeds United, and in his place Boro promoted 17-year-old Arthur Horsfield to the starting line-up. Soon after, a crowd of 12,668 were present to watch the visit of Swansea City for a Second Division clash. Boro went ahead in the 15th minute with a well-taken goal from Horsfield with the away side expecting a whistle for offside. Despite the Swans pulling a goal back in the second half, Arthur Kaye wrapped up the two points with Boro’s second goal in the 75th minute. Teenage frontman Horsfield was in and out of the side for the rest of the season but still finished the season with eight league goals from 12 games. Boro went onto finish 10th in the league table under new manager Raich Carter, with City narrowly avoiding relegation in 19th position.
30
VALUABLE POINT
Under new manager Bobby Murdoch, Boro had started the 1981/82 First Division season disastrously and were rooted at the foot of the table when Swansea City visited Ayresome Park in February. The Welsh side were enjoying their first season in the top flight
and were buoyed by new signing Ray Kennedy, who they had paid £160,000 to secure from Liverpool. It was Kennedy who grabbed the first goal of the game when he scored seven minutes before half-time. Boro hit back after the interval and were awarded a penalty after 67 minutes. Up stepped skipper Tony McAndrew to slot home and earn Boro a point in front of a crowd of 11,209. Unfortunately, Boro’s place in the table didn’t change for the rest of the campaign while Swansea’s fleeting hopes of winning the league title faltered on a lack of depth in their squad – although they ended in a very creditable sixth.
GRIM TIMES FOR BOTH
In 1983/84, after two disappointing away defeats to Derby County and Cambridge United, Boro were
looking to bounce back and move up the Second Division table with a home win over Swansea City. Teenager Gary Hamilton was recalled to the starting line-up to make only his third league start of the campaign and slotted in at left-back replacing fellow youngster Tony Mowbray. The black clouds of the early to mid-1980s were hovering around Ayresome Park and it was a lowly crowd of 6,804 who were present for the Swans visit. Heine Otto, a shining star for Boro in that era, proved to be the matchwinner when scoring the only goal in the 13th minute. The win lifted Boro to 10th but a wretched run of form after the New Year saw them finish in 17th. The Swans fared even worse and suffered the ignominy of being relegated in a second successive season as financial problems mounted.
THE LAST FA CUP TIE
The 1994/95 FA Cup Third Round draw saw Boro drawn away to Swansea City. The initial game finished 1-1 and so a replay took place at Ayresome
Park with Boro eyeing the carrot of a possible clash versus local rivals Newcastle United in the next round. Boro quickly took the initiative with John Hendrie, Robbie Mustoe and Craig Hignett all missing chances. The Welsh side, though, shocked the Ayresome faithful when breaking the deadlock on 21 minutes. Boro defender Chris Morris
miscued a clearance right in front of goal and Swans striker Steve Torpey punished his mistake when finishing from close range. It went from bad to worse as City doubled their lead with their first attack of the second half. Future Darlington manager Dave Penney capitalised on a Robbie Mustoe slip and surged into the box, waltzing past Nigel Pearson and Steve Vickers, before drilling his shot past Boro keeper Alan Miller. Boro then threw everything they had at The Swans backline and finally found a way through 12 minutes from time. Jamie Pollock’s shot from a Hignett free-kick was deflected into the path of Hendrie, who volleyed in from 10 yards for his 15th goal of the season. It was almost 16, but Swans keeper Roger Freestone tipped his drive around the post. Boro’s attacks became more frenetic but City hung on desperately for a famous victory in the last ever FA Cup tie to played at the famous old stadium.
A FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS A Liverpool hero whose goals dried up at Boro, before moving into management at Swansea... Phil Boersma began his career with Liverpool making his debut in 1969. After a brief spell on loan at Wrexham in 1970 he returned to Anfield and was a prominent figure during Liverpool’s run to the 1973 UEFA Cup final. After the player subsequently struggled to gain a regular first-team place, Boro boss Jack Charlton tabled a £72,000 bid for Boersma in 1975, believing he would be the answer to the club’s goalscoring problems. Unfortunately – despite possessing great pace – Boersma was not a big success at Ayresome Park. He failed to score in his first 18 games and never produced the goods, whether playing up front or as an attacking midfielder. In 1977 he moved onto Luton Town, and a year later to Swansea City. He later became assistant to John Toshack at the Vetch Field, as the side were ascending all four divisions. He moved into physiotherapy and returned to Liverpool where he linked up with former Boro teammate Graeme Souness. He became the Scotsman’s number two and subsequently worked with him at Southampton, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Galatasaray and Benfica.
Many thanks to the book Ayresome Memories, written by Eric Paylor and John Wilson, for help with anecdotes and research in today’s column.

ACADEMY MATTERS
SEASON COMES TO SUDDEN END AFTER NEWCASTLE DEFEAT Our Under-23s’ five-game unbeaten run came to a halt with a defeat to Newcastle United in what proved to be the final game of the season. Anfernee Dijksteel got an hour under his belt in his first competitive minutes since the win at home to Barnsley back in November, but the former Charlton Athletic youngster
is still continuing his rehab and isn’t ready for a first-team return as yet. Dejan Stojanovic also featured as he looked to step up his claims for a first-team spot. Captain Tyrone O’Neill went close for Boro, and he played his part in teeing up Mitchell Curry for a big chance as he nodded it into his path, but his strike was excellently tipped around the post by Jake Turner in the visitors’ goal. O’Neill also sent Daniel Dodds clear down the right, the winger cut it back for Curry who teed up O’Neill to strike
from the edge of the box, but Turner had it covered. The breakthrough came with a little over 10 minutes of the second half gone, as Elliott Anderson twisted and turned inside the box before driving low into the bottom-left corner. And Newcastle doubled their advantage after the hour with a slick move as Jack Young slid a wellweighted pass through for Thomas Allan to score from a narrow angle. Nathan Wood was dismissed deep into second-half stoppage-time as he brought down a Newcastle player and was deemed to be the last man. Boro: Stojanovic, Dijksteel (Balde), Wood, Hood, Robinson, Dodds, Sykes, Wearne, Curry (Green), Burrell, O’Neill. Unused subs: Cornet, Metcalfe.
ACADEMY IN MULTI-SPORT LINK-UP Boro’s Academy has linked up with Yarm Martial Arts School as part of a multi-sport programme. As part of the programme, the players from the U10s to the U14s were working with Yarm Martial Arts School, who deliver different sessions throughout the season, with sessions transferable to the movement skills in football. The Academy youngsters will also be heading to the
32
IBEX Bouldering Centre in Darlington and Middlesbrough College to participate in gymnastic sessions as part of the programme. The session with Yarm Martial Arts School focuses on upper and lower body strength, hip mobility, coordination and more which are key for a player’s physical and athletic development.

Jonathan Madden, lead Academy fitness and conditioning coach, said: “The aim of the multisport programme is to promote athleticism and develop physical robustness. “We will be providing our Academy players with the opportunity to experience different sports, learn new skills and experience training methods different to those associated with traditional football training. “To have the support of Yarm Martial Arts School and the coaching experience of Tony and Keith has been invaluable to date. “When combining the services of Yarm Martial Arts School, IBEX Bouldering Centre in Darlington and Middlesbrough College, together with our in-house athletic programme, we believe we have created a well-rounded athletic programme and formed a longstanding relationship with them.”

LIVERPOOL BEATEN AT ROCKLIFFE Our Under-18s season ended on a high note with defeat of Liverpool at Rockliffe. Calum Kavanagh opened the scoring for Mark Tinkler’s youngsters after 11 minutes, capitalising on a misplaced pass and slotting past Jakub Ojrzynski. The visiting Reds could have had an equaliser when their forward Fidel O’Rourke was felled by Andrew Wilson in the Boro area. But when O’Rourke stepped up to take the spot-kick, Harry Flatters in the Boro goal produced a save to preserve our advantage. Harry Green and Kavanagh forced further saves from Ojrzynski before Joe Gibson rifled in an effort to double up Boro’s lead just before the break. facebook.com/MFCofficial

Alberto Balde and Gibson both had chances to press Boro’s dominance with more goals, but in the end it was Green who made it three for the Teessiders in the second half, curling past Ojrzynski from the edge of the area. Boro: Flatters, Wilson, Nelson, Stephenson (Simpson), Green, Waites, Gibson, Cornet (Stott), Kavanagh, Balde (Willis). Unused subs: Metcalfe, Beals.

SWANSEA CITY WHO ARE YA?
Jay Fulton
Swansea City were founded as Swansea Town in 1912, changing their name to Swansea City in 1969 to reflect the new status of the urban area. They played their home fixtures at the Vetch Field until 2005 then moved into the Liberty Stadium. The South Wales side gained promotion to the First Division for the first time in 1981, and they were elevated to the Premier League in 2011 under Brendan Rodgers. They lifted their only piece of major silverware in 2013 when they defeated Bradford City in the League Cup final.
his time on Merseyside. He led the England U17s to a World Cup triumph in 2017.
AT THE HELM
HOW’S IT GOING?
Former England youth head coach Steve Cooper is in his first stint managerial stint, having cut his teeth working with the youth sides at Wrexham and Liverpool. The 40-year-old played a role in the development of Premier League stars such as Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold during
Matt Grimes
Rhian Brewster
Swansea are still within touching distance of the Play-Offs, three points behind sixth place. They drew their last two games before lockdown – against West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers – with their last win a 3-1 success at home to Huddersfield Town on 22 February.
with creative midfielder Bersant Celina potentially now recoverdd from injury. Highly-rated young striker Rhian Brewster arrived in January from Liverpool on loan, and the England youth international has chipped in with four goals since he landed at the Liberty Stadium. He partners Andre Ayew up front (see below).

IT’S A FACT Swansea fans are known as “The Jack Army”, the most popular explanation for which is that people from Swansea are named after a black retriever who lived in the city’s docks in the 1930s.
Andre Ayew Ayew leads the way on the goalscoring front, registering 14 this term so far. The Ghana international, in his second stint with Swansea, hit a purple patch in December when he netted five times in four games – including a brace against us at the Liberty Stadium.
Freddie Woodman, on loan from Newcastle, has been first choice between the posts keeping 11 clean sheets this term. Joe Rodon, Jake Bidwell, Ben Cabango and stalwart Kyle Naughton have been the settled back-four for Cooper having started the previous four games together. Jay Fulton and captain Matt Grimes sit at the base of the midfield while January loan additions Aldo Kalulu and Conor Gallagher provide options going forward, facebook.com/MFCofficial
