LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

H

ello! We hope you had an opportunity to enjoy MidPointe’s “Oceans of Possibilities” Summer Reading Program and all the exciting events that came along with it. As you explore this program guide, you can find that your Library has plenty in store for you this fall as well! On top of all the programming we are offering this season, you can also find a number of new additions to Library services and materials. MidPointe has added the video streaming service “Kanopy” to our eLibrary and use is free with your MidPointe card. You can also use your Library card to check out a new “Connectivity Kit,” featuring a laptop and wi-fi hot spot, packaged together to help keep patrons connected. MidPointe has also debuted a new “Lobby Stop Service,” bringing a pop-up library to community spaces. Initially, the Library will bring this service to health care facilities so patients and their caregivers will have easy access to library materials, technology training, and information services. Last but certainly not least, we are excited to share that a new MidPointe Library building will soon be built in Liberty Township. The facility, located on

Yankee Road, will feature outdoor programming space, reservable community meeting rooms, amenities for families, easily accessible parking, increased shelving for the collection and much more.

Thank you for visiting MidPointe and we hope you enjoy your time here! Best wishes,

Travis Bautz MidPointe Library System Executive Director
