LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

H

ello! This spring, you will find we have made a number of exciting changes at your MidPointe Library System. At the first of the year, we extended open hours at all MidPointe locations. This expansion included Friday open hours at all locations, and later evening and Sunday hours for select branches. MidPointe’s makerspace, Innovation Pointe, is now open for patron projects and we invite you to make an appointment to make your creative visions a reality. Additionally, in March, programming will return to our recently reopened Monroe location. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We have been working hard to provide resources our community needs.

of Ohio allows, the Library has distributed thousands of COVID test kits. Through the Ohio Department of Education and the USDA, our Middletown location provides a grab-and-go meal for children every day of the week. The AARP is utilizing one of the community rooms in our West Chester location to provide tax preparation assistance. EDGE Teen Center is also providing weekly teen programming at MidPointe Library West Chester. A case manager from Access Counseling is now available onsite at MidPointe locations for assistance with community resources and mental health services. Again, we hope to see you soon, whether enjoying a program, participating in a community event, picking up a new book or any of the many options you can enjoy at your MidPointe Library System.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Speaking of programming, this guide is filled with dozens of educational and entertaining options for all ages. From storytimes to “Friends, Food & Fun for Seniors” (details on page 7), there is truly something for everyone and we hope you can join us soon. We have been working hard to provide resources our community needs. As availability from the State

Best wishes,

Travis Bautz MidPointe Library System Executive Director
