LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hello! In the spirit of “spring,” MidPointe Library System is excited to bring many new opportunities to our patrons this season!

Starting in March, parents and caregivers will be able to enroll their newborns in “Starting Pointe.” This early learning initiative will sign up children to receive a Starting Pointe literacy kit, mailed directly to their home. The kit includes a board book, items to engage little ones while sharing stories, literacy tips, information about community resources and a MidPointe Library System card for baby. This project was supported in part by federal Institute of Museum and Library Services funds, granted through the State Library of Ohio. Find registration information on the MidPointe website.

As we make this available to our youngest readers, we are also excited to share that we are introducing a new program for our more senior readers. After the success of Friends, Food and Fun, our partner event with the West Chester Coalition of Seniors and Council on Aging/Meals on Wheels held every Friday, we will soon be introducing a similar program at additional branches. Look for details coming soon!

You will also find big changes in the Innovation Pointe makerspace, located in the West Chester branch. The addition of a UV printer opens up new options for patrons to make, create and innovate!

You will also see growth in the makerspace in the coming months to allow for the addition of makerspace programming.

We hope to see you soon, whether enjoying a program, attending a community event, picking up a new book or any of the many options you can enjoy at your MidPointe Library System.

Best wishes,

MIDPOINTELIBRARY.ORGHHH 1
