WELCOME! The Energy Fair began 27 years ago when a group of people met around a kitchen table to envision what has come to be the longest-running clean energy, sustainable living, and education event of its kind.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Grassroots at heart, The Energy Fair has blossomed to attract many creative and enthusiastic people to one place with one goal in mind—to make the world a better place for ourselves, our neighbors, and those who come after us. When you attend the Fair, you’ll likely discover a spark of change within yourself. You can attend a workshop and learn a new life skill, get inspired by hearing one of our expert keynotes, or make connections with others working towards sustainable goals. Make sure to enjoy some of the great local food, solar brewed beer, and live music along your Energy Fair journey. We are excited to share with you all the new products, innovations, and features this year. Bring the whole family because there’s fun for everyone. Turn the page and begin exploring all the opportunities and experiences we are offering! Shine On, Allison Lindquist P.S. Don’t forget to show your support for clean energy at the polls.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS JOHN FARRELL Director of Democratic Energy, FRIDAY 1:00 P.M.

Institute of Local Self Reliance

Farrell will speak to the 21st century’s energy sources— distributed wind, solar, energy storage—and distributed technology—like smart phones— have up-ended the one-time natural monopoly of the electricity system. It’s no longer necessary, or economical, to allow monopoly utilities to control the energy system when decentralized control and ownership can more rapidly and costeffectively transform the grid to cleaner energy resources and economically reward our communities. Catch up on his latest articles on twitter @johnfarrell and at ilsr.org.

MIKE HORNITSCHEK StraightUp Solar Director of Strategic Development THURSDAY 6:30 P.M. at The Networking Dinner

TIM WILHELM

Get your very own copy of Prins’ newest book: All the Presidents’ Bankers signed following her keynote address! Catch up on her latest articles on twitter @nomiprins and online at nomiprins.com.
