On January 19 I made a phone call to the Department of Culture of our City to gather information on the application for authorization of the concert we had planned for the day 29 in the auditorium of our museum, within our "concert program in the MAVA "and sent them through the General Register of the City on 10 December last year, as usual. The answer to this call was that we had not authorized this concert and also, we would never again allow any more that said Auditorium was only scheduled to perform civil weddings. Also, they said they would send us a notifying in writing the decision, writing that until the date of issue of this Newsletter we have not received yet and I doubt very much that we are going to receive, given the procedures followed by the Department on these issues.

Is not that proof enough that our program has a solid track record behind us and for this the support we have been receiving from the Miguel Angel Colmenero Foundation with its management through various conservatories? What difficulties involved for the Department of Shows (because of Culture has nothing) of our City carrying out our program? How they allege such as the pilgrim reason that the Auditorium is only expected to perform civil weddings? If that space is totally underused, weddings are held on alternate Saturdays and our concerts are on Fridays. Why resent us to make an outreach culture of classical music? Sometimes we have suffered slander accusing the Directorate of Museum of deterioration in the Auditorium by performing concerts, but we have removed one to one to the Department with relevant arguments. Why this refusal, based on a so strange reasoning, we continue to develop our program?

Aerial images taken in the area also show the size and scale of the church facing the sea, including open space with a blue spotlight. An initiative of circular economy on the outskirts of the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, is shocking the water filtration media by producing highly efficient filtration from recycled glass.
To produce AFM, DrydenAqua used glass bottles used, the ground to a fine grain having a total of 300 times larger than the sand and ionizes the surface with a negative charge.
iron in the water, reducing the raw materials used, the use of a waste product (recycled glass) and the absence of biological contamination and bacterial cultures in grains AFM.
Active Filter Media product (AFM), which means "through active filtering" created by the company has achieved such success DrydenAqua who produce a quarter of the glass is recycled in Scotland is currently used.
Contaminant particles of water flowing through a filter AFM are drawn by the load and fixed to the surface of glass beads.
The absence of biofouling refers to AFM is about four times more than sand, which must be replaced at regular intervals.
These systems are also treated to be self-sterilizing.
DrydenAqua states that the maintenance costs of AFM filtration systems are 30% lower than in normal systems.
DrydenAqua, founded in 1980 by marine biologist Howard Dryden, is also studying how to use this technology in poorer countries: the company is a partner of the research project ECO-India, supported by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union. ECOIndia, which will continue up to August 2015, community systems are testing innovative treatments and profitable to apply water in water-stressed areas of India, where the water contains high levels of arsenic. This problem affects 250 million people.
The filter media was evaluated at the Institute of Filtration et des Techniques French Séparatives. For its ability to remove fine particles from the water, this organism is determined to be 30% more effective than the sand and 50% more effective than other filter media crushed glass. The average AFM can be used in filtration systems for drinking water, industrial wastewater treatment, aquaculture and other applications.
Conclusion: The test results demonstrate the benefits of AFM over other filter media tested. The AFM clearly surpassed the high quality sand and other means of filtering glass. The demand for chlorine in chlorinated oxidation systems and the formation of toxic by-products of disinfection are directly related to the efficiency of filtration and washed.

This luxury brand products made of glass has become one of the most expensive and most companies worldwide recognition. Its origin is in an almost perfect glass cutting machine invented by Daniel Swarovski whose diversification knew how to make an empire. Swarovski's history is a history of innovation, creativity and social knowledge. Its founder, Daniel Swarovski, how could it be otherwise, was born in Bohemia in 1862. This part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire was one of the most important industrial centers for glass. In the small factory of his father and cut glass he was there that his vocation was born. Young, Daniel always looked at the work of his father. After he completed his apprenticeship with his father, as well as other glass cutters, until it was the turning point in his career with the First Electrical Exhibition in Vienna. There he had the idea of using new techniques from Siemens and Edison to create a machine for cutting glass. Nine years later, he was ready to register a patent: a machine that cut the glass to perfection in a more quickly and accurately than manual work. It was a new era for the world of glass. This was the third explosion in a week, according to the HVO.
"It looks like a balloon. The inside is empty and has a thin, glassy, fragile shell," said Janet Babb, geologist Volcano Observatory, reports The Huffington Post.
This finding was dubbed "the most cold tears of Pele," referring to the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes and glassy particles, teardrop-shaped, formed when molten lava cools rapidly, RT reported.
These explosions occur without warning and release hot air fragments of lava, ash and rock debris.
This phenomenon seems to be very typical in the area, but it is the first time that scientists do these findings.

A team of researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (United States) has created an incandescent bulb that in the future, could be more efficient than the led. These experts have found a solution to the major problem of traditional incandescent bulbs: over 95% of the energy produced is wasted, mainly as heat. The key, as explained in Nature Nanotechnology (in English), is a two-step process.
First, the tungsten filament bulb is heated as ever, but after a glass structure around him capture the emitted infrared radiation and redirects it to the filament so that it's reabsorbed and send in the form of visible light. This photonic structure is made of glass, a material that can be manufactured with waste from other elements. Thanks to this technique, the luminous efficiency (a unit that takes into account the response of

the human eye to light) incandescent bulbs will increase to 40%, well above traditional bulbs (23%) and LEDs (5-20%). Although, for now, researchers have only achieved a luminous efficiency of 6.6%. Those responsible for this discovery was defined as light recycling, a similar principle that could be used in the case of smartphones to improve the autonomy of their batteries.

Tucked away in the mud, the settlement Must Farm, discovered by archaeologists at the University of Cambridge, has been dubbed the 'Pompeii of the Bronze Age'. The remains, in central England, which was home to several families 3,000 years ago are of a variety, richness and exceptional state of preservation. Weapons, household utensils, fabrics, ornaments and even leftovers allow meet hitherto unknown details of the daily life of a period from the year 1000 to 800 B.C.
Among the pieces found two meters underground there spears, swords and household objects such as vases, bowls, ceramic pots and pans. In one of those pots they remain of the food was cooking something like a chowder- at the time of the flight, escaping the flames are. At that time, says Chris Gosden, professor of European archeology at the University of Oxford, "taking thick porridge oats, which added a few herbs and hopefully some honey".

"These accounts confirm some of our suspicions. The marks inside the glass tell us who come from the Balkans. We know that there were some established trade routes between continents and Britain at that time, but that further expands the territory ". In the archaeological finds of this period it will normally come across some bones and some pieces of metal. But Must Farm is the best preserved village in the UK. "This time is much more that has been preserved. In fact we see the daily life during the Bronze Age, "says Gibson. "It is prehistoric archeology in 3D with some findings gathered from unmatched value, as far as range and quantity are concerned." You could not tell whether the fire that struck the place was an accident or a deliberate act, but archaeologists bless those flames which conserves extraordinary legacy. The found objects will be moved from the place where they rested until now for fear of future flooding. After removing the mud, they are cleaned and cataloged, it is likely to be exposed to the public. Then still it is long in coming. The project is expected to last four years and still going down the middle.

These days have been beside a classic colony, that Chanel 5 in Marilyn, she said, perfumed every night before bedtime. After dark, the light of this announcement is brighter than there is about the Millennium Labañou. Opposite, across the bay, the Tower of Hercules appears a yellowish prism whose head is spinning a lighthouse. It takes two millennia shining. Fifteen years ago it seemed that this symbolic fixture would stop being alone oceanfront property with arrival Monument world's highest glass, according to its promoters boasted. It was the Millennium, however, he respected the hierarchy height of the tower, to be, with its 50 meters, nine under Roman monument. "The lights that marked the change of a year, a century and a millennium. Millennium Obelisk. La Coruna ». It said a calendar developed fifteen years ago in which twelve images, one per month, illuminating the new monument was coated with 174 pieces of glass of different sizes. It was precisely that on each of the twelve phases of the structure, such as Canal Satellite, a signal produced by the Television de Galicia, offered December 31, 2000 the bell end of the year from A Coruna and for Spain .
Castrillón, Monte Alto, San Diego Os Mallos. Thus it ended a process that had begun a few months before the unveiling of the new monument on April 15th and the beginning of the excavations in mid-June. At the same time, in July the workers of the Dutch company Van Tetterode began to produce parts with the new obelisk recubriría. Then they counted the firm responsible for this raw material was American and for the Millennium dress melted colored glass three to five layers through a system of overlapping. Then he mingled in the design of sculptor Gerardo Porto tight mold. And it is on the glass of said panels, the artist settled in Holland coruñés for many years was commissioned to design the most unique events in the history of his hometown. There are still images of the ships commanded by Christopher Columbus representing the adventure of discovery of America. There is also the battle of Corunna, with its foreign hero Sir John Moore, which shares space with the local heroine María Pita and his fight with another Sir Francis Drake.
On these pieces of glass, molten at 800 degrees Celsius, are also images that Gerardo Porto drew three kings linked to local history: The previous day, Saturday, at one Alfonso IX, who is considered responsible for the repopulation of in the afternoon there was the the city in 1208; Carlos I, which spectacular opening ceremony in which 600 of the participants were sailed from Corunna harbor to be members of the eleven participating crowned emperor; and Carlos III, choral groups and social centers of drive the development of the city during the Enlightenment.

All of this is still there, in Labañou, in a place that before the arrival of the Millennium was a shanty town that wound down the cliff to the base of Mount San Pedro. Now, the glass monument, is stranded in the pond water stirred by storms and waiting for someone to pay attention again or at least to give birth again. A railing surrounding the Millennium on the part of the sea. It would be like the deck of a ship below which a large glassed space was built. It was where to locate a cafe and a restaurant that is advertised as one of the great attractions of the new building. It was nice. The reality is less lyrical. With the passage of time, and without this place were to take care, temporary and action of some people they ended up destroying it. The underside of the Millennium were fenced in their day to prevent further damage, but some homeless saw it was a good place to be for a while. Thus, it was possible to see some of them sleeping in the local restaurant designed for. In addition, these people had to close the facilities of the Father Rubinos whose dining bystanders came. Now, after the transfer of these facilities, the influx of homeless is less, partly because the low are open to incoming waves. It was also planned to locate in these low multipurpose room designed cultural activities. For now, everything has fallen into a homeless shelter.
