This material, in addition to its ornamental uses, is also known for its relevance to paleontology, as it is a unique preservation of very old bioinclusions of plants and animals trapped in the viscous resin and then became fossilized ago million years. So, other amber deposits worldwide and with different chemical compositions or amber have proved invaluable for the reconstruction of ecosystems and prehistoric life. And according to the study's authors point out, this material could also become a useful model to elucidate many other puzzles that continue to drive research physics, much unknown glassy state and discussed relating to the crystalline state. For physics and chemistry, amber is a unique example of a glass that has aged for a long time below its glass transition temperature, reaching a state that is not accessible under normal experimental conditions.

The family bought Degerme for mayor last year for 620,000 euros and immediately began work. The goal of the new owners is to make the building a cultural center, says Helena Degerme. "We will put the building in operation. I had never been open to the public in such a broad way. Thus, museum, palace Světlá nad Vltavou will become a tourist center and yet in a historic building tours. There will also be a hotel and restaurants. The work will cost about 3.6 million euros, the new owners expect to pay in part by European funds.

The origin of glass bottles known today as "jugs" is still a mystery and although there are powers to the Italian or Arabic etymology (damchán, meaning bottle), a curious anecdote prevails as a starting point. He noted that in the late Middle Ages Queen Joanna of Naples, Countess of Provence, belonging to the dynasty of Anjou, an afternoon rain took refuge in the workshop of a master glassmaker and boredom made him interested in bottle manufacturing.
