El agua como primer espejo del hombre.
To respond to the need to eradicate marginality and establish those relationships that sew the different discontinuities generated by unconnected activity exchanges, we seek to understand the territory and accompany it so that it is he who offers us a solution. Giving rise to these natural paths, defined by the conversation between architecture and landscape in an environmental recovery project. The dynamic, changing and fluid nature of water translates us to a sense of calm and well-being, to a state of reflection.
Para dar respuesta a la necesidad de erradicar la marginalidad y establecer esas relaciones que cosan las distintas discontinuidades generadas por bolsas de actividad inconexas entre sí, se busca entender el territorio y acompañarlo de manera que sea él mismo el que nos ofrezca una solución. Dando lugar a esas sendas naturales, definidas mediante la conversación entre arquitectura y paisaje en un proyecto de recuperación ambiental. La naturaleza dinámica, cambiante y fluida del agua nos traslada a una sensación de calma y bienestar, a un estado de reflexión. Parece interesante e incluso razonable que sea el propio terreno el que nos guie desde El Rajolar hasta el puerto de la Oliva atravesando el núcleo urbano y conectando por el camino distintos equipamientos/complejos/clubs deportivos; de esta forma las acequias, sequias mare, se convertirían en sendas naturales que discurren por el lugar siguiendo la corriente hacia el mar. En nuestro caso se establecería además una relación con la vía rodada paralela a ella posibilitando su acceso en cualquier tramo, abriéndose a un abanico de posibilidades.
It seems interesting and even reasonable that it is the land itself that guides us from El Rajolar to the port of Oliva through the urban core and connecting different equipment / complexes / sports clubs along the way; in this way the ditches, droughts mare, would become natural paths that run through the place following the current to the sea. In our case, a relationship with the roadway parallel to it would also be established, allowing access in any section, opening to a range of possibilities.

The current borderland between the Olive urban core and the crops that runs parallel to the ditch generates a tension between the two worlds not allowing visual relationships, so it is decided to break these visual physical boundaries replacing them with vegetation and furniture integrated in the environment so that the space is articulated and clean mobility is facilitated.

Discovering the territory sequentially, in a continuous and fluid way, through the labyrinth of ditches and the orange blossom perfume will allow you to experience different stimuli and emotions that will immerse the walker in the essence of the place creating a landscape culture.

El límite actual entre el núcleo urbano de la Oliva y la red de cultivos que se extiende paralelamente a la acequia genera una tensión entre ambos mundos no posibilitando relaciones visuales, por lo que se opta por romper estas fronteras físicas visuales sustituyéndolas por vegetación y mobiliario integrado en el entorno de forma que se articule el espacio y se facilite la movilidad limpia.

Looking at Olive as a living organ with an intrinsic functioning, connections and spaces linked to different uses and temporalities, it is considered the opportunity to show that conciliatory axis that runs through the city center facilitating mobility from El Rajolars to the port. The possibility of appearing, as a route signage, elements that transmit the inheritance of water as a transforming and generating element in the territory, leads to propose a “flood” square, a mirror.

Abordando la Oliva como un ógano vivo con un funcionamiento intrínseco, conexiones y espacios vinculados a distintos usos y temporalidades, se considera la oportunidad de evidenciar ese eje conciliador que discurre por el núcleo de la ciudad facilitando la movilidad desde El Rajolars hasta el puerto. La posibilidad de que aparezcan, como señalización de ruta, elementos que transmitan la herencia del agua como elemento transformador y generador en el territorio, lleva a proponer una plaza “inundable”, un espejo.

The turning point that is generated between the urban environment and the natural environment is home to the rear of the last built line linked to streets that become roads that run through the Santa Anna park. El punto de inflexión que se genera entre el entorno urbano y el entorno natural acoge las traseras de la última línea construída ligadas a calles que se convierten en caminos que reptan el parque de Santa Anna. Se plantea llevar el recorrido bordeando este límite con la finalidad de experimentar el contraste a la vez que nos conectamos con el mirador; además esto supondría cuidar y difuminar este límite convirtiendo la trasera en un alzado principal.
El acceso al nuevo complejo de Els Rajolars busca abrirse al núcleo de la ciudad mostrando esa identidad resiliente a través de un manto cerámico que se extiende hacia su entorno inmediato marcando un espacio de preferencia peatonal como “hall” enmarcado por chimeneas

The creation of a unique atmosphere, such as Els Rajolars, will be carried out through a single piece of brick, an element that is no stranger to everything around it and that clearly represents the rich Mediterranean culture. This small piece that repeats and forms the entire existing set, will be intertwined punctually with other small pieces of glass, which will allow to open the set to the outside and reinterpret that rich culture, in addition to separating it.
La creación de una atmósfera única, como es Els Rajolars, se realizará a través de un solo elemento, el ladrillo, un elemento que no es ajeno a todo lo que le rodea y que representa claramente la rica cultura mediterránea. Esta pequeña pieza que se repite y va formando todo el conjunto existente, se entrelazará puntualmente con otros pequeñas piezas de vidrio, que permitirán abrir el conjunto al exterior y reinterpretar esa rica cultura además de diferenciarse de ella.
