Furniture sector - development The 90s and early 21st century were years of great domestic consumption as a result of the growth of the construction market and changing consumer habits due to joining the EU. The industry invested largely in more and better technology, having increased production capacity, while keeping the craftsmanship know how, passed on from one generation to the next.

Why buy from Portugal • Good value for money A factor directly related to the Portuguese tradition of woodworking (empirical know-how) coupled to the level of our equipment as well as the low cost of our hand-labor, if we consider our main international competitors in premium products (Italy, Spain, France and Germany). • Modernization of the technological equipment The Community support frameworks were, in essence, used by the industry as having one of the main objectives tec hnological modernization. • Operational flexibility The small size of the Portuguese companies allows faster adaptation to the demands / needs of the market. This became evident in the changing styles of furniture manufactured in Portugal and in the investment in design.
