- Mikaela K. Erson
Bright colors For those with chromophobia*; cover your eyes. The colors of this coming spring are bold with a capital B. Yellow, turqoise, emerald green and pink were some of the most popular colors on the runway, along with red and navy blue. *The fear of colors, you learn something new every day!

Black and white Both on their own and together, black and white is one of the strongest trends this spring. Seen on the runway s of designers such as Jason Wu and Alexander Wang, a monochronic look is the more sophisticated alternative to mixing dierent bright colors.

Leather A classic fall trend that doesn t have to end just because the temperature is rising. Leather was a dominant material on the S/S runway s, used on dresses, skirts, tops and jackets. Preferably glossy and shiny, creating a wet look.

Silver Shiny metallics in general, and silver in particular, was an important element on many runway s. Just as with the leather, the trend is glossy and I-can-almost-seemy-reection high-shine.
