Introduction of Adelaide CBD Adelaide city centre is the inner-city locality of Greater Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. It is known by locals simply as "The City" or "Town" to distinguish it from Greater Adelaide and from the City of Adelaide local government area (which also includes North Adelaide and the Park Lands around the whole city centre). Adelaide was planned based on a grid layout featuring streets that run at right angles to each other, surrounded by gardens and parks. Within the city centre, there are other designations used to describe various areas, the broadest being: The city "square mile", bordered by North, East, South and West Terraces, which is also referred to as the CBD, although it contains a mixture of high-rise apartments and various commercial and entertainment premises scattered throughout, and the smaller cottage residences (mostly in the southern half). Within the "square mile", there are also defined precincts such as the West End and the East End with distinctive characters. The section of the parklands between North Terrace up to the River Torrens, which includes the string of medical, educational, cultural and entertainment institutions on the northern side of North Terrace, notably the Adelaide Festival Centre as well as the Parliament of South Australia and Adelaide Railway Station. Part of this area is sometimes referred to as the North Terrace cultural precinct. Other well-known institutions within the city centre are the Adelaide Central Market, Victoria Square and Rundle Mall shopping area.
Site Analysis From LIDAR's plot analysis data, we can know that in the architectural distribution of Adelaide CBD, most of the high-rise buildings, mainly apartments and office buildings, are located in the northeast corner of the city, and the southwest part directly opposite is made of small shops. Mainly small buildings
If we compare the analysis data of Adelaide urban area and CBD based on the LIDAR cloud point map, we can find that the distribution of Adelaide urban area is mainly composed of two main roads passing through the urban area and five squares located in the four corners of the urban area and the center, passing through the city. The two arterial roads of the city meet at Victoria Square in the city center and parallel roads have been built parallel to the main road, forming a convenient transportation network in the city of Adelaide.
Victoria Square, located in the city center, is the center of Adelaide and is also the largest square among the five squares in the city. Through cloud point diagram analysis, we can know that the distance between Victoria Square and all parts of the city is relatively even, which can also be guaranteed When encountering large-scale gatherings and activities in the city, people's arrival time can be relatively reduced
Vegetation analysis By changing the color and layer settings of the LIDAR cloud point map, we can separate the information of the LIDAR cloud point map for the vegetation coverage of Adelaide urban area from the land parcel scan data, so as to more intuitively understand the vegetation coverage in the Adelaide urban area.
Through the LIDAR cloud point map, we can analyze that most of the plants in Adelaide urban area are concentrated in the four corners of the city and the square in the center. Some plants are also distributed on both sides of the main road in the urban area. Adelaide can be roughly observed through cloud point map analysis. The vegetation coverage in the urban area is relatively extensive.
Future forecast Through the cloud point map data and the cutting of the plot model, we can find that the terrain in the center of Adelaide is relatively flat, the ground undulation is small, and the city's high-rise buildings and the Rundle Mall commercial center are mostly located in the northeast of the city, so we can It is predicted that the future city will expand to the northeast with Rundle Mall as the center. At the same time, combined with the analysis of land plot vegetation coverage and heat map and the distribution of industrial areas around the city, it can be predicted that there will be no extreme weather pollution and climate change issues in the Adelaide urban area in the future.
