The design has two main objectives: elevating West Java's culture and facilitating the need for relaxation by responding to the surrounding nature. These two goals then combined into one concept which I named "modern village". The design elements implemented were adapted from traditional West Java houses, ranging from shapes, colours, materials, and others, but were given a modern touch by responding to the existing buildings on the site. In addition, the existence of the resort will add economic value to the surrounding environment by using local materials sourced from artisans around West Java.

There are two types of standard rooms based on the bed's needs: queen-size bed only and an additional bed, provided by considering the number of visitors dominated by families with children. The facilities provided are a luggage rack with a hanger for the robe and tv and a table for storing amenities. Working desk is not provided in standard room. The room design follows the whole resort concept, with a touch of local wisdom used in the wall treatments and the batik-patterned blankets.

12

Deluxe Room

The Deluxe room is designed to accommodate the various needs of visitors traveling as a family of 4, with far more complete facilities than a standard room. Bamboo woven partitions border the living room and sleeping area in the front room.

Two types of dining facilities are provided in the hotel; all-day dining for hotel guests and coffee shops for the public. Both areas are accessible to each other to facilitate food distribution channels from the same kitchen. A coffee station for making beverages and displaying snacks is placed in an area that is visually accessible to all seating areas.

The seating arrangement is divided into two; fast and casual dining, with more casual dining in the coffee shop. The seating layout is efficiently arranged by considering the flow and privacy of each user. Unlike most hotels, a buffet table is not required as the hotel only provided an ala carte type of breakfast.

Suite Room The most luxurious and spacious among four other types of rooms is located on the second floor. The 49 sqm room is divided into a living room, pantry, dining area, working desk, sleeping area, and bathroom. The zoning is done by responding to the existing pipes and electrical position of the room. The design goal is to make the room feel like a luxury residence. The room is dominated by colours and materials that match the other room types; grey, white, mustard, wood, and marble. The combination of these colours and textures creates both an elegant and relaxed ambience.

04 Element residence Year: 2021 Type: Professional Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Scope of Work: Space planning, Design development & documentation

Element Residence is a 90 sqm apartment unit located in South Jakarta. The user is a family with two children. The design aims to give an elegant and comfortable feel, applies in a modern classic style.

25

The front room consists of a living room, dry kitchen, and a dining area. Here every space is maximized to be used as storage to accommodate the user's needs. The cabinet is arranged in closed and open sections to keep it visually comfortable. The colour and wood material used responds to the finishing of existing doors and is made to balance using beige. The touch of gold obtained from the loose furniture material enhances the elegant impression of the room.

26

27

In the same ambience as the living room, the main bedroom is made warmer by using dark brown wallpaper and the addition of wall lamps on both sides of the mattress. Bag storage is provided, and there is also a console table for storing documents according to client needs.

05 Studio apartment Year: 2019 Type: Professional Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Scope of Work: Space planning, Design development & documentation

Bassura Residence is a one-bedroom apartment unit located in East Jakarta. The client wants this apartment to be furnished with complete daily equipment for rent. The design intends to provide a comfortable residence for one person in a style that suited most people nowadays. Therefore, I chose the Scandinavian style.

29

The 15 sqm space is arranged to accommodate all daily activities for one user.

Concept Within the limited space, every space counts. For that, I chose a multipurpose concept in the design. The approach can be seen applied to the furniture; wardrobe with a mirror, a table for both dining and working, a twin-size bed with storage, and an electrical socket on its frame. The design highlight the beauty of the simple line and materials to form the space.

06 Union coworking space Year: 2019 Type: Professional Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Scope of Work: Interior and Furniture Design Detail

Union Space is one of the fastest-growing coworking spaces in Asia and is actively opening branches in Indonesia, one of Jakarta's city. This project's main challenge is designing a unique and attractive coworking space with a fairly tight budget. My scope of work is in the interior and furniture design details.

33

Concept The main concept is chosen by considering the efficiency, namely "parraline" taken from the Parallelogram and Line. The big idea of the "parraline" pattern appears to harmonize the existing room layout patterns so that the room layout patterns and design concept patterns can feel the same and match. This concept is then applied to the interior elements.

Layout In this project, I processed the design details for the meeting room, work area, and breakout area.

34

Coworking Area

Electrical Socket Box Plywood + Sungkai veneer

Top Table Plywood + Sungkai veneer

Table Frame 30x30mm hollow iron + white duco coating

The design feature of the area that I work on is the coworking table area itself. Implementing the "parraline" concept, I designed a work table with a zigzag shape and zigzag accents on the ceiling. The table is equipped with a socket on each table to keep it comfortable for work with its uniqueness. The biggest challenge in designing this table is thinking about the table frame system, particularly in the joints.
