School of Education

Gain classroom experience and engage with students starting your first semester at Millikin. Millikin’s partnership with local schools lets you learn and practice teaching skills with students ranging from K-12. Through endorsements, concentrations, co-teaching and professional development, you can customize your education to meet your interests. Millikin’s School of Education graduates traditionally have a 100% employment rate or entrance into graduate school within six months of graduation. Two years in a row the Illinois State Board of Education has rated our elementary education program “exemplary,” the highest possible rating.

School of Exercise Science & Sport

Students prepare for graduate studies and careers in exercise, fitness, sport, athletics and physical education. Performance Learning opportunities that combine classroom theory with hands-on experiences are available across all programs — from practicing athletic training with Millikin’s NCAA DIII athletic teams to internships with sport, recreation and athletic organizations.

A Master of Athletic Training (MSAT) degree is also available.

$4 Million Nursing Simulation Lab:

The lab will feature modern spaces for obstetrics and pediatrics simulations, medical offices and health assessments. A lab control room will utilize the latest technology to coordinate these realistic, hands-on experiences.
