GETTING THERE

Hotel

Sat nav Postcode E6 5NT.

There is ample parking at the Premier Inn Woolwich Beckton, charged at £14 per day.

Excel Centre

Sat Nav Postcode E16 1FR. See map over the page for Excel Parking. Parking is £25 a day.

If you are travelling by public transport, the nearest stations are Prince Regent or Custom House. These are part of the DLR network. Custom House is also on The Elizabeth Line.

Stand-Build Deliveries

The Excel Centre operates a queueing system with vehicles held at Gallions Reach until there is an open slot for them to unload. This must be pre-booked through the E-Zone.

Travel between hotel and venue

By Car: c.10 minutes.

By DLR: Beckton DLR station is 4 minutes walk away from the hotel, with a direct connection to Custom House DLR Station next to the Excel Centre.

SHOW TIMETABLE

SET-UP 14:00 - 20:00 Wednesday 13th November

I have negotiated an earlier arrival time for Display Link to gain access to begin building the stand. They are due to arrive c. 10:30 (if they are granted access by the traffic control). The build will take approx. 3-4 hours to complete before the stand can be dressed. Millpledge Team will travel to Meryl’s, and travel into London together, aiming to arrive at the Excel Centre c. 15:00.

BUILD / BREAKDOWN PASSES (details on page 7).

• You must produce a Building & Breakdown Pass on arrival. This will be exchanged for a wristband to gain access to the hall. This has been sent to your email, please remember to print it off and bring it along.

Site Rules

• If your teams are operating in loading areas they should be aware of the movement of traffic.

• Ensure you are wearing sturdy, enclosed shoes, preferably with reinforced toes. Flip flops are not permitted.

• Emergency gangways should be maintained to allow cleaning tractors, forklift movement and emergency access/egress at all times. These gangways are marked ON A FLOORPLAN ON ALL HALL ACCESS POINTS.

• Only authorised access is permitted into the exhibition halls. Everyone working within the halls must wear the appropriate badge.

• Appropriate management and safe methods of working at height is required at all times to comply with the Working Height Regulations 2005.

• All hot work requires a hot work permit from the Organiser.

• All contractor accidents, incidents & near misses must be reported immediately to the Organiser.

• Maintain good housekeeping at all times and remove all waste from site.

• Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is only allowed in designated smoking areas.

• Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be ejected.

BREAKDOWN 17:30 – 19:00 Friday 15th November

LOADING

• You must produce a Building & Breakdown Pass on arrival. This will be exchanged for a wristband to gain access to the hall. This has been sent to your email, please remember to print it off and bring it along.

All Return items to be boxed up / packed up to be collected by Display Link. Label boxes for content (if possible).

Display Link will begin dismantling the stand as soon as they are allowed into the hall.

LVS 2024 Lead Scanner App

We have reserved 4 app licences for the show, to be used on our own devices. To be used by Meryl, Angela, Ed, and Dawn. These will record all of the details about the delegate including name, address, email, professional status (e.g. vet, vet nurse etc.), name of their practice or business. They will also come with pre-set questions/ query sections that can be filled, depending on the delegate’s enquiry.

Fire -

In the event of a fire report, you will hear the following instructions broadcast over the public address system: “Attention please, attention please. Mr Goodfellow report to the security suite.”

The fire procedure is cancelled by the following instructions broadcast over the public address system: “Attention please, attention please. Mr Goodfellow is no longer required.”

Evacuation -

If an evacuation is necessary you will hear the following announcement broadcast over the Public address system, use the nearest available Emergency Exit route to the appropriate Assembly point. “Attention please, attention please. Here is an important announcement. It is necessary to ask everyone to leave the building. Please make your way calmly to the nearest exit. Do not return to your vehicles. Everyone will be re-admitted as soon as possible.”

In the unlikely event that an evacuation is necessary please remember to take your visitors with you.
