SATURDAY, JULY 17 - 10 AM | CAROUSEL LAWN FUN Saturday Mornings: Sova Theatre Marvelous Metamorphoses Adelka Polak’s performance “Marvelous Metamorphoses” accompanied by music engages the audience with the use of dance, puppetry, and mask work to vividly portray characters and concepts told through movement, sound, and imagery in the story, making them memorable. The puppets are made by both the main performer Adelka Polak along with award-winning fine artist and sculptor Justin Perlman. The original music is provided by Q Music/Cynthia Quintanal. We journey through the life cycles of frogs, butterflies, and bees utilizing the art of puppetry and music. We are all connected. We are of nature, and we have an effect on the world.

The music and ‘moving art’ shows are performed by two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, cartoonist, and author, Morgan Taylor. With its unique crossover appeal, the show has even been the wildcard opening act for Wilco and The Polyphonic Spree. All of the songs are whimsical and super catchy narratives that explain the life of a friendly alien from the Sun who now resides in a wildly imaginative version of the woods of Minnesota.

All voices are performed live, so the audience can ask the puppets questions and they will answer!

The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Fountain is a display fountain, not a splash pad.
Our concession stand, The Snack Box, will be open Thursdays through Sundays in the afternoon and during scheduled events and programming.

Founded in 2002 and incorporated in 2006, Mill River Park Collaborative is a 501(c)3 non-profit tasked with overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and programming for Mill River Park. When completed, the Park will provide 31 acres of green space connecting Stamford’s Downtown and Westside communities to Long Island Sound.
