HIGHLIGHTS 4-STROKES NEW FRAME The compact new chrome-moly steel frame was completely redesigned and is .8 lbs lighter. Precisely engineered lateral flex is balanced by improved torsional rigidity to deliver sharper handling and exceptional stability. NEW CARBON FIBER SUBFRAME With an extremely short and compact new subframe that is made of lightweight carbon fiber, the weight is kept closer to the centre of gravity. A 2.2 lbs weight reduction and reshaped ergonomics allow the new subframe to aid in improving control and making the handling more agile. NEW SWINGARM An improved cast-aluminum swingarm design is .55 lbs lighter, with improved structural integrity and reliability for maximum traction and optimal handling response at all times.

DOUBLE 500 CC WORLD CHAMP With a daring style, Bengt Aberg won the title in 1969 and 1970 riding a standard Husqvarna straight off the assembly line.

NEW WP SHOCK AND LINKAGE A new, shorter and lighter shock by WP features a larger gas cylinder designed to maintain consistent performance. The new clevis design contributes to a 12 mm overall length reduction, while the stroke is reduced by 3 mm. For more predictable and dynamic handling, the new rear-linkage maximizes the combined performance benefits of the all-new frame, revised shock and centralization of mass.

FC 350 The perfect balancing act. Huge weight savings and a revolutionary new engine design almost defy the laws of physics. For 2016 the FC 350 is lighter than any previous 250 4-stroke motocross bike, with more peak power than any stock 2015 450 motocross bike. Yet the biggest gains can be felt out on the track. With a shorter wheelbase, lower and more centralized elements of mass and much smoother and more usable power, going this fast was never more effortless.

4CS FORK The WP four-chamber front fork was revised to match the all-new 2016 chassis. Quick and easy tool-free clicker adjustment, via the dials on the top of the fork tubes, allows on-the-go set-up of rebound (red dial) and compression damping (white dial) to suit track conditions and rider preferences. Premium engineering by WP Performance Systems, quality materials and advanced production processes guarantee the highest performance levels.

SEAT Superior comfort and improved grip. The new lower-profile seat has a more grippy cover material, has revised padding and matches the all-new color scheme.

EXHAUST Improved mass-centralization and reduced noise levels meet FIM noise standards. The completely overhauled exhaust system maximizes the all-new engine's performance, while it is shorter and lighter than previous models.

COOLING The new radiators with updated fins have 10 % better cooling without increasing their capacity or surface area, thanks to innovative design with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software. New radiator fins also act as a radiator brace against side impacts.

GROUND-BREAKING LIGHTWEIGHT PERFORMANCE With many visible technical innovations on the 2016 Husqvarna motocross bikes, the biggest differences are apparent when you ride one. The new engines are dramatically more powerful with a massive low-end and mid-range power boost, making them much smoother, more tractable and easier to ride fast on. The 2016 engines are also lower, shorter, lighter and narrower than before, adding to the exceptional agility, and remarkable weight balance of these revolutionary new bikes.

ENGINE Completely new 250 cc and 350 cc double overhead camshaft (DOHC) engines were designed to perfectly match the new-generation chassis. All internal components were revised to position the engines closer to the center of gravity in the new-generation chrome-moly steel frame.

MAP SWITCH The easy-to-use handlebar mounted map switch allows rapid selection of different power curves, allowing optimum power delivery to suit all conditions.

CRANKSHAFT The crankshaft sits 6 mm higher than on the previous engine; together with a 6 mm shorter con-rod, repositioned internal components and redesigned crankcases, this results in a 20 mm shorter engine. Both engines are now 2.2 lbs lighter. NEW CYLINDER HEAD The DOHC cylinder head features a completely redesigned combustion chamber, new ports, new camshafts and new valve springs. The Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coated-finger followers are now 30 % harder, therefore reducing friction and allowing higher performance with better durability. NEW CSS CLUTCH The 250 cc and 350 cc engines feature coil spring steel (CSS) clutches with six coil springs, seven clutch plates and a new, lighter one-piece CNC-machined steel clutch basket. The inner hub and pressure plate were redesigned to improve oil flow and separation, while the new coil springs give a more consistent feel.

ELECTRIC START / LI-ION BATTERY Effortless electric starting is standard on all 2016 FC models, with a new starter system that is .33 lbs lighter than last year’s system. Additionally, in itself the compact new SAMSUNG Li-Ion battery that runs the starter saves over 2.2 lbs in weight.

EMS / THROTTLE BODY Get immediate response and improved throttle control from the revised 44 mm throttle body. A repositioned injector optimizes combustion chamber flow, while the unit is more compact and .2 lbs lighter, thanks to a simpler and more efficient mechanical design.

WHEELS Black high-strength DID alloy rims are matched to beautifully machined CNC hubs and new lightweight spokes with silver anodized aluminum nipples.

LAUNCH CONTROL Motocross starts; the only part of a race where passing 40 riders at once is possible. Mastering starts is usually a fine art – requiring lightning reflexes, nerves of steel, dynamic throttle control and a really fast bike. Well the good news is that the new launch control feature now makes lightning-fast starts surprisingly simple! Easily activate launch control from the handlebar-mounted map select switch, for improved traction and control under hard acceleration, with minimal front wheel lift.

LIKE NOTHING BEFORE IT, BUT WITH THE SAME PIONEERING GENES A pioneering spirit means having the courage to look ahead and discover new opportunities where others fear to tread. It took vision, persistence and a few brave steps beyond the conventional limits to create a dramatically new, different, faster, lighter, easier to ride and better motocross bike. The 2016 FC 450 is all-new from the ground up, proof that the pioneering spirit that started it all back in 1903 continues to this day.

ENGINE

FC 450 Outright horsepower and bone-shaking performance mean very little if the rider cannot hang onto the bike. Despite class leading power, the 2016 FC 450’s biggest strengths are usable power, predictable delivery and minimal vibration. With huge weight savings, better mass balancing, a shorter wheelbase and tighter steering angle, the new FC 450 feels incredibly light and agile out on the track.

The FC 450’s revolutionary single overhead camshaft (SOHC) powerplant is new from the ground up. It is much smaller and lighter and has been completely reconfigured for optimal mass-centralization within the new chassis. REDESIGNED ENGINE The all-new engine is 23 mm shorter, 23 mm narrower and 9 mm lower than the previous generation. Every internal component was revised and repositioned, lowering weight by an astonishing 3.96 lbs and dramatically increasing not just peak power, but also improving torque and usable power across the entire rev-range. NEW CYLINDER HEAD The FC 450 cylinder head is now .8 lbs lighter with a new optimised combustion chamber and ports. The camshaft is also new, actuating four lightweight titanium valves that each weigh just 1.1 oz at the intake and 1 oz on the exhaust side. NEW CRANKSHAFT The new crankshaft features 10 % more inertia and was repositioned 9 mm further back and 7 mm higher to centralize elements of mass. The higher inertia increases traction and ride-ability significantly, making the phenomenal power broader and more usable.

ERGONOMICS The frame, subframe, seat, bodywork and riding position have all been completely revised for a better fit and more confidence-inspiring ride. Improved control and comfort enable riders to perform at the highest level for extended periods of time.

DAMPED DIAPHRAGM STEEL CLUTCH The new FC 450 boasts a new damped diaphragm steel (DDS) clutch system with a lighter clutch basket. The inner hub and pressure plate were also redesigned to improve oil flow and cooling, while the MAGURA hydraulic system and levers offer perfect modulation and control.

FUEL CAP / FUEL TANK The new 7 litre polythene fuel tank design features a new threaded filler cap and an integrated fuel pump.

HANDLEBAR New for 2016 is the premium-quality PRO TAPER handlebar as standard. To meet the needs of top-level motocross competition, the handlebar is manufactured to exacting standards and features class-leading fatigue resistance while meeting stringent weight requirements.

EXHAUST A revolutionary new header pipe features a resonance chamber that improves the power output across the rev-range. The new pipe is shorter, more compact and contributes to keeping weight as low and centred as possible.

SUBFRAME A world first for motocross, the three-piece subframe is 30 % carbon fibre and strips away 2.2 lbs of weight. The new design is also more compact and significantly shorter, to greatly improve ergonomics and centralize elements of mass.

REAR LINK The rear suspension linkage has been completely redesigned to match the revised WP rear shock, lighter swingarm and all-new chassis. Improved damping equals more balanced, progressive and predictable handling.

REAR SHOCK The new WP rear shock features a larger gas cylinder but is still 1.1 lbs lighter and 12 mm shorter than its predecessor, thanks to premium quality materials and improved design. New internal components, such as the piston and shock shaft, increase the set-up options and greatly improve damping consistency.

SWINGARM A .55 lbs lighter cast-aluminum swingarm is built to balance optimum stiffness for maximum traction with smooth suspension response to deliver the legendary Husqvarna ride-ability and comfort.

The black-anodized CNC-machined triple clamps feature a new top clamp with a rubber damping system, to reduce vibration and increase comfort. The triple clamps were meticulously designed to distribute clamping forces evenly across the fork legs, maximizing the contact area to grip the forks snugly with minimal friction.

New brake discs from GSK increase braking power and heat dissipation, while class-leading BREMBO callipers and controls ensure precise, powerful and consistent braking.

FRAME A totally redesigned chromium molybdenum steel frame improves handling, rider comfort and overall balance. The 6 mm wider and 2 mm lower steel tubes offer 20 % more torsional rigidity and 30 % less longitudinal stiffness compared to the previous-generation frame design.

It is slightly lighter and more compact, but the layout is what sets it apart. The profiles and tube sizes were completely re-thought, allowing more responsive turning due to increased torsional rigidity, but at the same time having improved lateral flex. This new chassis design greatly improves handling, rider comfort and control; it also better centralizes the overall mass. NEW TRIPLE CLAMPS Premium new black-anodized CNC-machined rubber-damped triple clamps set a new standard in the balance between agility and stability. Superior handling, comfort and control in all situations, with minimal vibration and less shock transferred through the bars. BRAKES The 2016 TC models feature a new brake disc by GSK that ensures increased braking power. The premium quality BREMBO hydraulic system and controls deliver unrivalled power and consistency, making these the best-performing brakes available on any standard motocross bike. NEW FOOTPEG MOUNT The new frame features a pioneering new-concept footpeg mount that prevents mud and dirt build-up, allowing the footpegs to spring back into position in even the toughest conditions.

It is the traditional rite-of-passage for those wanting a true taste of motocross in its purest, rawest and wildest form. Little compares to the thrill of a screaming 125 cc motocross bike running wide open and “on-the-pipe�. The 2016 Husqvarna TC 125 marks a pioneering step into the future for 125 cc motocross technology.

AIRBOX The airbox was completely redesigned and has a new inlet duct to reduce deformation, maximize airflow and increase filter protection. The air filter is easily accessed, without tools, by removing the left side panel. Easy maintenance is assured with the new Twin Air filter and filter cage design, featuring a simplified mounting system for safe and accurate filter installation.

FOOT PEGS Innovative new footpegs are larger, to improve grip and stability, while benefitting from the revolutionary new design that ensures a consistent footpeg position in even the thickest mud and deepest ruts. A self-cleaning concept means that mud and stones cannot jam in the footpeg mechanism and prevent it from returning to its correct level riding position.

GRIPS Brand new ODI lock-on grip on the clutch side and a vulcanized grip on the throttle tube, featuring an integrated throttle mechanism. The assembly design allows easy free-play adjustment and throttle characteristics that can be altered by simply changing an easily replaceable cam.

ENGINE The ground-breaking new 125 cc engine marks a significant generational step in 2-stroke technology. The 2016 TC 125’s all-new motor gets a power boost of horsepower and a weight reduction of over 4.4 lbs. NEW CYLINDER AND PISTON The new cylinder features a 54 mm bore, revised ports and an innovative new power-valve for improved power delivery across the entire rev-range. Along with increased performance, the new cylinder has a redesigned water jacket that improves cooling, ensuring greater reliability and durability. The redesigned piston is precision engineered to better match the new cylinder. NEW CRANKSHAFT A new crankshaft is lighter and perfectly balanced to keep vibrations to a minimum. It is now also positioned 37 mm higher within the engine, in an effort to improve mass-centralization. NEW GEARBOX The all-new six-speed gearbox is .44 lbs lighter and 6 mm narrower than its predecessor. The gear lever features a new folding lever tip that prevents dirt build-up in a similar manner to the new footpeg design.

SUBFRAME Designed for stability and comfort, the lightweight aluminum subframe provides structural strength, while keeping weight to a minimum.

ENGINE The TC 85’s high performance 2-stroke engine features an exhaust power-valve to maximise low-end torque, while allowing thrilling high-revving 2-stroke upper range power. GEARBOX Precise shifting on the TC 85 is courtesy of a six-speed gearbox. A FORMULA hydraulic clutch ensures the shifting is smooth and consistent. CYLINDER The proven performance and reliability of the TC 85’s compact 2-stroke motor centers around a high performance cylinder with flow-optimized ports, for confidence-inspiring forward thrust, and an exhilarating competition-oriented powerband.

SUSPENSION The 43 mm upside-down fork has 270 mm of travel, with completely adjustable rebound and compression damping. The WP PDS rear suspension is fully adjustable, allowing fine-tuning of the suspension action for maximum stability and precise handling on every ride.

Over the course of the motocross season, Pourcel claimed multiple podium finishes and completed the year 5th overall in the point standings.
