Executive Director of the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland, California. Previously worked at Houston Food Bank for nine years helping to expand programs at the food bank and provide disaster relief and emergency assistance. Served in the inaugural Child Hunger Corps for Feeding America. Awarded a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University. Serves on the board of Move for Hunger and previously served on the boards of the Center for Urban Transformation, Urban Harvest and the advisory board of the City of Houston’s Mayor’s Office of Adult Literacy. He was also a founding member of the Houston Food System Collaborative.
