“Break! Break! Break!”
Sally Dayton
“Search the area again Sally,” said Sparrow flight leader Charity Singh. Dayton was flying the ScoutShip on her right. “Inform the other pilots,” said Singh. Charity had been in close contact with Sally since they were ordered to investigate an attack on their space station. A closed channel let her talk with Sally privately, her trusted friend and fellow officer. Wing tips of their ships nearly touching, they sped through the Earth-like atmosphere of Arcos 7, a planet orbited by nearby Space Station Alpha. “Break, Break, Break!” snapped Captain Dayton. Six ScoutShips pulled up, spiraling out and away from the rocky surface.

“Wow! My instruments all just spiked, could be a weapon warming up to fire again,” said Sally Dayton.

Chapter.2 º Search & Destroy
“Gear up Boomer,” Jett called from his cockpit. Ship handlers strapped squadron leader Ryder in place, saluted and dropped away from the lead craft. Boomer tugged on a tight-fitting, tattered flight suit and jammed on a scuffed helmet. He tossed himself heavily into his fighter. Jett waved off the hanger crew, saluted station Commander Trillium and nodded as Boomer scowled back. Jett toggled his suit mike, “All ships follow me.” Four pilots checked in with their flight leader. Boomer grunted. “Let’s observe proper flight procedures wingman,” said Jett. “That’s you Jackson.” Appearing too big for his cockpit, the swarthy Jase Jackson saluted Ryder. Jett shook his head. Same old Boomer, he thought.

Singh waggled her ship as Jett flashed past. Sally was sure she saw Boomer’s wide grin as he tucked under Jett’s tail and disappeared from view. “Execute plan Delta,” ordered Captain Singh. “That includes you Talon squad.” “Roger that,” said Ryder respectfully. He, Boomer and the other four cadets under his command were outranked by the two captains and the other officers in Sparrow squad. “Both squads, fly by in a scissor approach, opposite directions. Aim for the crevice. Upload my targeting data to everyone…now,” said Dayton. “Roger that. Talon out,” responded Ryder. The squads dove on an unknown enemy, firing laser bursts into the crevice hiding a very powerful and destructive weapon.
Chapter.3 º Friendly Fire As the two squadrons ended their strafing run, one ship was missing. “Sally’s ship’s been hit!” yelled Boomer. “I’m going back for her.” “Jackson, return to the station as ordered,” demanded Singh. Jett knew there would be no response. Boomer was going to get Sally off Arcos 7 at all costs. “Captain Dayton come in...” This is Jase Jackson, Talon Squadron. I can see your ship. It looks like it’s heavily damaged...repeat, come in. over.” “Boomer hurry, I’m holed up in a cave near my ship and there’s a small army of Robots headed this way,” said Sally.
“Boomer...clear out!” this is Jett. “Commander Trillium is going to blast the Cyborgs. Your ship could be accidentally hit.” Jackson’s ScoutShip dodged and hugged the ground. “Robots are closing in on Sally’s location. If I can...,” Boomer said. Then, nothing but silence. “Boomer!” Boomer!” Jett called for his pal but he feared the worst. “Hold your fire!” said Station Commander Robert Trillium. “One of our ships is in the way.”

Jett could see responder beacons from the two ships. Both were on the ground. He wondered if Boomer’s ship was flyable. It was their only chance.

Alpha Station Chapter.5 º Robot Army
Without warning an armor clad figure appeared on all com screens throughout space station Alpha.
“I am K’Tar.”
K’Tar (Evil Genius)
All activity on the station stopped. Every person onboard stared at the screens.“You are no match for my robot fighters,” said the strange figure. “We have two of your pilots. The female will be adapted as part of my plan to take over the human race. The male will not be as lucky. He will tell us your strengths, your weaknesses and then we will need him no longer.” “Open a channel,” said Trillium. “Who...or what are you?”
“I am K’Tar.”

Chapter.7 º Rescue Attempt
Dayton
Jackson Robot Implant
Captain Dayton
“Psst...Boomer” Jett whispered. The young pilot had risked everything to rescue the two captives on Arcos. “How?” Jett motioned for Boomer to stop. Using hand signals, Jett helped his pal pick up the unconscious Captain Dayton. “These machines have begun adding their technology to Sally’s body.” He spoke softly into the stocky pilot’s ear so passing robots would not suspect his presence in the underground cavern..

Chapter.9 º Jubilant Return
“There’s so much to ask,” Boomer stammered. He was not sure where to begin. “Best things first...Sally, er...Captain Dayton will recover. Her robotic implants have been removed, and you’re both safe.” Boomer clasped Jett’s arm in thanks. “I know...you would have done the same for me,” said his pal.

“But, how?” asked the stocky pilot. “Give credit to Calvin,” said Jett. “That grease monkey? Really?”” “He’s the one who converted the survey ship I used to find you. Not first-class travel, but the life pod bays he added did the trick,” said Ryder. “That and his new terrain-avoidance system allowed me to skim within inches of the ground unnoticed. You know the rest.”
Chapter.12 º Evil Genius
Charity Singh, Sally Dayton and pilot pals Jase Jackson and Jett Ryder have not seen the last of K’Tar. They will definately encounter K’Tar again.
