Bespoke Counter Overview Specification Our standard counter construction is 18g 430 30x30mm square tube stainless steel welded frame with adjustable die cast aluminium feet, 18g 430 stainless steel interior shelving and aluminium interior panelling.

Counter Finishes Granite Tops Cut from high quality natural granite, we offer a large selection of granite work tops. We use state of the art computer controlled technology to ensure an accurate fit with close, even joints.

Granite tops can be supplied with a number of edge detail finishes including; 20mm square edge, 20mm bullnose, double thickness square edge, double thickness bullnose and much more. To the right is a small selection of the most popular granite tops we offer.

Composite Tops Composite material counter work tops are suitable for any shape of counter. They are perfectly smooth, fully sealed, hygienic and easily repairable on site if damaged. We offer the following range of composite work tops; Corian®, Zodiaq®, Hi Macs™, Staron™, Resillica™ (recycled glass).

There is a varied selection of composite tops available with many different colour and finish options, which can be used to compliment any surroundings. As with granite tops there are a number of edge details available. To the right is a small selection of the most popular composite materials we offer.

Stainless Steel Tops Stainless steel offers a stylish, durable and economical solution for counter tops. We utilise high quality 1.5mm thick DP1 240 Grit 16g 304 stainless steel, which can be supplied with either a square or bullnosed edge.

Fascia Panels We offer an extensive range of fascia panels including; Plain laminate, which combines a simple design solution with a wide choice of available colours and styles. Wood veneer, real wood veneered panels. Wood effect laminates can also be used as a more cost effective alternative.

Metallics, metal effect laminates or real stainless steel to create a modern clean look. Glass, back painted toughened glass adhered to MDF fascia panels. The glass can be painted in any colour. Extended Counter Tops Extending the counter top is a practical way to form trayslides and tray rests, which is cost effective and aesthetically pleasing.

Extended counter tops can be complemented with trayslide runners or studs, fluorescent or LED lighting and valance panels to suit counter fascias.

Granite, composite and stainless steel tops can all be extended in this way.

Trayslides We offer two standard trayslides: Tubular. 25mm diameter mirror polished stainless steel, supported by laser cut satin finished stainless steel support brackets. Tubular trayslide can be curved at each end for safety.

Solid. Solid trayslide are normally formed by extending the counter work top, but can also be made separately and secured to the counter fascia panel.

Case Study Woodwards, Liverpool Woodwards, a leading North West coffee shop and bar chain, have commissioned us to undertake several projects as they have been delighted with the quality and the impact our finished countering brings.

Stainless steel rails were created for the deli and patisserie following discussions with the client’s food supplier to ensure their pre-packaged sandwiches, paninis and pastries fitted the chilled display cabinets.

This particular venue, finished in March 2009, involved manufacturing a complete counter with a raised false floor to contain all the water and electrical services. Our scope of work also included shop fitting the rear walls and doors, installing a small kitchen, servery counters and food displays.

This project proved a challenging installation because the units were located on the first floor mezzanine. Access to the site was via two escalators and a busy thoroughfare for office workers in the building so the area had to be boarded and made secure throughout the whole installation. Despite these potential set backs, the project was delivered on time and to our usual high standard.

The stylish counter incorporated ‘Antartica’ white Corian® tops, wood laminate fascia panels and bespoke, chilled displays. 10 Case Study EMH International Limited

Case Study European Air Defence Systems, Newport In 2008 EMH were awarded a prestigious project, to manufacture bespoke countering for a new building on the European Air Defence Systems campus.

Case Study Water Margin, O2 Arena, London The Water Margin in London’s O2 Arena opened its doors in October 2007. The restaurant offers visitors modern Chinese dining combined with the Japanese drama of Tapanyaki. Previously an empty shell, owners CS Lam and Sue Phillips spent £2 million on the refurbishment. The result is a stunning, contemporary restaurant that offers customers a truly unique dining experience. We played a vital role in bringing the vision to life, developing the serveries and buffet counters, bar and elements of the back of house area.

Working from architect’s drawings our team developed a buffet area that complemented the contemporary design of the restaurant, utilising stainless steel, decometal laminate and serrizo granite. One of the main challenges we encountered was the need for all the hot and cold apertures to accept two lateral banks for halfsize gastronorm containers. They also required a central divide to enable a buffet style servery that customers could approach from all angles. Our design incorporated a removable menu tag display holder that didn’t block or obstruct the cold air rotation when in-situ.

Following the success of this stage of the project, we were also involved in other areas of the scheme including the manufacture of stainless steel wall cladding for the kitchen and preparation areas. Commenting on the refurbishment, Sue Phillips said: “EMH played a major role in bringing our vision of the Water Margin experience to life. They were adept at combining practicalities with high quality presentation and we’re more than impressed with the durability of their products.”

Case Study Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa, Merseyside In 2008 Formby Hall Golf Club and Spa Hotel underwent a £10 million luxury refurbishment programme. The new vision for the hotel required fixtures and fittings of the highest quality. EMH were commissioned to meet that brief and manufacture all aspects of their shop fitting and bars with the quality of product appropriate for its four star rating. EMH manufactured the bar counters and food servery at Formby Hall. The bar counters were built utilising our standard Barserve fabrication and then complemented with a shopfitted exterior.

For the Food servery we used our Fusion drop in displays with bespoke counter frame work. Black granite, Corian®, Wood veneered fascia panels and feature lighting were incorporated into our equipment. As with all projects, we worked closely with the client to produce units that met their brief, exceeded their expectations and enhanced the interior designer’s vision. The refurbishment works were completed overnight to cause as little disruption as possible to service. However, we also had to ensure that noise levels were kept to a minimum throughout

the process so we didn’t disturb the hotel guests after a hard day on the golf course! EMH were initially commissioned to manufacture the food servery and bar counters at Formby Hall. Our client was so impressed with the quality and performance of our equipment that we were also asked to supply the reception and concierge desks, shopfitting to the bar area including wall cladding and bedroom furniture for over 30 guest accommodations.

Case Study Aquinas College, Stockport Aquinas College is a Catholic sixth form college for 1,800 students, established in 1980 and funded by the Learning Skills Council. It was estimated that the existing college was overcrowded by approximately 50%. Therefore, a completely new building was required to provide more floor space and new state-of-the-art facilities for the students.

We were commissioned to manufacture all the stainless steel kitchen equipment, food servery counters, dishwash conveyor and tray carousel.

Any impact on the existing college and neighbouring residential properties was minimised by avoiding working during unsociable hours. Deliveries of EMH equipment was also limited to reduce possible traffic congestion. We were asked to produce a training video for the dishwash conveyor and tray carousel, for new catering staff to learn how to operate the equipment. Case Study Rhodes W1, London In 2009 EMH were comissioned by a Windsor based contractor to undertake a project at Rhodes W1, Gary Rhodes’ successful brasserie within the Cumberland Hotel in London. EMH’s role was to manufacture a new wine bar for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails. The Rhodes Patron Bar, specialising in Patron Tequila cocktails, forms a dramatic centre piece of the Rhodes W1 Brasserie.

The wine bar fascia was manufactured using translucent Corian®, which was formed and etched with intricate detail. The fascia was illuminated by LED lighting, which can change in colour to suit the mood of any function. Achieving a high quality finish to complement the style of the Brasserie and the Cumberland Hotel was paramount to the success of the project.

Tray Carousels Our carousels incorporate a number of unique technical specifications such as automatic carrier chain tensioning, designed to prolong chain life and eliminate costly service engineer visits. Carousels also offer the best safety feature available - a trip mechanism that stops the equipment immediately if any of the carriers are jammed at any point in its rotation.

Our low loader carousel is the only one on the market to offer this.

Case Study Hope Hospital, Salford EMH were commissioned by a local distributor for this project.

Uniserve units were selected as they offered a solution to the clients requirements; the Our clients brief was to refurbish modular nature of the units reduced installation costs and the existing staff dining area which will be in operation for the the appearance of the curved next five years, whilst the hospital glass sneeze screens and â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;Natural undergoes major redevelopment. Production At EMH we employ over 100 staff at our head-office and factory in Liverpool, achieving an annual turnover of approximately ÂŁ8 million per year. Using state of the art CAD technology our experienced design team will then bring your vision to life, producing drawings and plans of all components prior to manufacture in our factory and then expert installation on site.

The first stage of the process is to take a detailed brief from our customer, we would then complete a comprehensive site survey where required.
