“Romance and tragedy, primal murder, and the urge for revenge
Mystery is inherently dramatic—and this play stands the test of time in fleshing out the romance and intrigue of the 1930s in a luxurious setting.
I believe this genre is served so beautifully on a stage; only a live performance can truly grasp the heartbeat of the events depicted. Even if you are familiar with Murder on the Orient Express, there are so many sly nuances woven throughout that you cannot help but be swept away into this beloved caper. Time is compressed and it’s a race to the finish line to solve the case.
We have had an exciting ride working on this piece with so many secrets, twists and turns to unravel. It has been a truly thrilling process to build the world of Agatha Christie on the PTC stage.
At its heart, this piece asks a deeply human question about justice and who holds the right to see it served. A question that may haunt you and make you wonder what you yourself would do if given the opportunity.
Join us on the exotic Orient Express as a comedy/mystery unfolds, and we seek to uncover the lies, deception, and humanity of this incredible cast of characters.
