WELCOME

W

elcome to Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” We are thrilled to have you join us for our 14th professional play for children. Director/Choreographer Penelope Caywood has once again transformed SLAC’s stage into a wondrous and magical place where song and dance abound. I love the themes of friendship, problemsolving, and teamwork. There is nothing better than sharing SLAC’s theatrical experience with children. It clearly shows us that arts matter and that theatre is a unique and irreplaceable form of artistic expression that goes beyond entertainment. The play’s whimsical nature encourages us to embrace our creativity and imagination long after it’s over. My heartfelt thanks to all our subscribers here today, and if you are not a subscriber, we would love for you to join us for the rest of the season. As a mini-season subscriber, you’re guaranteed three performances of exceptional storytelling. You are more than a ticket holder; you’re valued, appreciated, and a part of SLAC’s community. More information on the rest of our season is on page 18. May this holiday season fill your heart with love and your new year with joyful expectations. With gratitude and appreciation, Cynthia Executive Artistic Director

“Working with Penny and all the lovely folks at SLAC on their show for young audiences has been a brand new theatre experience for me.
