WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST GABE ARONSON* (Jerry Lee Lewis) is an actor, musician, performer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. This will be his 9th time doing the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet and second time at Tuacahn. Gabe has been playing piano since he was 5 years old, grew up loving rock n roll and playing in indie-punk bands. Gabe to this day’s biggest goal in life is to bring his music to stages nationwide. He has produced full length albums, EP’s and singles of his own work that can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and more. His aspirations in acting are both in film and theater as the leading man in comedy and romance, portraying musicians where he can implement his true passion for music, and athletic roles while he still has cartilage in his knees! Gabe made his film debut in 2021 in the horror movie “The Wraith Within” in which he plays Bert Galindo a comedian from Austin, Texas. ISAAC ERICKSEN (Brother Jay) is no stranger to the life of a touring musician. He has traveled, bass-in-hand, since the age of 15. On stage regularly as a blues side man, Isaac has traveled from Utah’s county fair circuit, to clubs on the east coast, to Beale Street in Memphis. He’s appeared with popular artists, such as BMA nominee Tas Cru, IBC semi-finalist Tony Holiday, and studio first call Dick Earl Ericksen. Isaac’s pit orchestra credits include Matilda the Musical, Fairytale Christmas, The Sound of Music, and Rat Pack Christmas at Tuacahn Center for the Arts. He also had the pleasure of playing the role of “Brother Jay” in the Hale Center Theater Orem and Sandy’s productions of Million Dollar Quartet in the summer of 2019 and 2020. JOHN GARDINER* (Sam Phillips) is excited to have the MDQ band back together, let’s rock n’ roll! John grew up in Kentucky playing in rock bands, which somehow led to a life in theatre. He has appeared on Broadway as Tommy DeVito (Jersey Boys) and Carmine (A Bronx Tale). John spent over a decade on the road with the Broadway National tours of The Lion King (Timon), Jersey Boys (Tommy DeVito),
12
A Bronx Tale (Rudy the Voice), and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (Neil Bogart). Regional Favorites: Alabama Shakespeare Festival (The Tempest, Ferdinand), Geva Theatre (A Christmas Carol, Young Scrooge), St. Michael’s Playhouse (Big River, Huck). John had the pleasure of collaborating with Chazz Palminteri, Alan Menken, Jerry Zaks, and Robert De Niro, on the Broadway workshop and development of A Bronx Tale. BA: Northern Kentucky University / MFA: University of Alabama. All my love to Kyli Rae, my wife, scene partner, and mother to our little rocker. Instagram: @GardinerNYC BENJAMIN D. HALE* (Johnny Cash) is thrilled to be back performing at Tuacahn. He has lead a multifaceted career in popular music and musical theater. He is also an accomplished songwriter. Kyli grew up in SoCal, where she was handpicked at the age of 9 by legendary choreographer, Debbie Allen, to appear on the Academy Awards for two consecutive years. Straight from Performing Arts High School, Kyli toured Europe with Grease (Marty) and Fame (Dance Captain), before performing shows in Japan for two years. Back in the states, she appeared on Broadway as Lorraine in Jersey Boys, as well as the Broadway National tours of Mamma Mia!, Flashdance, Rock of Ages, Jersey Boys, A Bronx Tale, and most recently Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. Tuacahn audiences may remember Shari as Rosie in Mama Mia!, the Mother in the World Premier of Disney’s When You Wish, Mama Bear in Shrek, and Madame in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Shari performed the role of Ulla and every other female role in Mel Brooks’ The Producers on the Broadway National Tour as well as the Las Vegas production with Tony Danza and David Hasselhoff. Shari was an assistant choreographer to five time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman for the historic Hollywood Bowl’s production of The Producers and performed the role of Shirley Markowitz. Love to Mom, Dad and my boys, AJ, Jordan and Hudson! Some of his favorite projects over the past 15 years here at Tuacahn have been; filming the 5 Browns Concert and filming the Brian Reagan Netflix special.
