OUTDOOR DINING Seven patios to visit this summer
Stella Van Buren
The paved patio at The Brown Bottle overlooks the historic Schlitz complex where the restaurant is housed. Indoors, the charming spot is full of nods to that vintage location, with classic wood paneling and a retro chandelier with antlers attached. And of course, you can grab a Schlitz beer on tap. 221 W. Galena St.

At the intersection of North Avenue and Farwell, this food hall is an incubator for Milwaukee’s culinary all-stars. Sit at the streetside patio and take your pick of vendors. Consider an espresso from Discourse, pasta from Egg & Flour, fresh Indian cuisine from Ruta’s, inventive Latin-Asian fusion from Dia Bom, an empanada from Triciclo Perú, a cocktail from The Pharmacy bar, ice cream from Scratch, or try some Nashville hot chicken at the newest Crossroads vendor, Hot Wax. 2238 N. Farwell Ave.

Stella Van Buren
This bar in the Westin Hotel is the place to go for a sunset. Facing west, you can catch a beautiful view of the skyline over Downtown. Fitting up to 45 people, the patio doesn’t get too crowded, and an 80-inch television broadcasts Milwaukee sports. After watching the sun go down with a Stella Old Fashioned in hand, you’ll want to make a return visit. 550 N. Van Buren St.
