Shopska salad Banitsa Beans Cabbidge rolls Gyuveche Kebapche Yoghurt and cheese Tarator Ayran and boza Vine

is a traditional Bulgarian salad originated by the Shopi people of the Sofia region, and hence the name shopska. The basic ingredients for this refreshing salad.

tomatoes roasted peppers onion cucumbers Bulgarian white cheese


Cut the onion, peppers and tomatoes add them in a bowl.

Add the chopped cucumber.

Then add olive oil. Mix everything and sprinkle some cheese on top.

The salad is ready.


Ingredients:      

A packet of grinded dough 5 eggs 400 gm white cheese 400 ml yoghurt 1 ts of baking soda 100 ml oil


Preparation: 

Grain the cheese and put it in a bowl. Put the eggs in the bowl and stir. Pour the yoghurt with the baking soda, oil and stir again.

 Take a piece of grinded dough and pour 3-4 ts of the mixture from the bowl. Repeat this until the finish products.

 Bake for 30-35 minutes (until it gets a golden crust). Take out it from the oven and spray with a little cold water and pulled the towel.


When the banitsa gets cool, cut and serve it. Mmm, delicious!


Traditional Bulgarian soup made from white beans and vegetables • • • • • • • • •

2 cup white dry beans 1 carrot, peeled and diced 1/2 a celery (optional) 1 onion, finely chopped 1 tomato 3 peppers, chopped parsley sunflower oil salt and pepper


This is a traditional Bulgarian dish that can be tasted in every typical Bulgarian restaurant. It is prepared from beans, peppers, onion, tomatoes and savory and/or mint.



Preparation The main part in Cabbage rolls is the minced meat. Further can be added vegetables or spices. Stuffing fry gently, put on the cabbage leaves and wrap.


It is a name of refractory clay pot with a lid, used for cooking stewed and roasted dishes.


This dish is prepared from meat: beef, lamb, chicken, mutton, pork and many vegetables, such as onions, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, okra, eggplant, tomato, peas, green beans and more.


Preparation • Vegetables cut wholesale meat and cut into pieces. Then the dish can be baked in a clay pot or oven.




Bulgarian cheese is very popular in Bulgaria and in other countries

Bulgarian yoghurt is very tasty. Everybody loves him.


Ayran is a mixture of yoghurt, water and salt. Boza is a popular fermented beverage.


Ayran

500 ml yoghurt 500 ml water, Salt to taste

1. Place yoghurt in a large bowl and add water. 2. Add salt to taste and stir.

Boza includes significant energy, several vitamins and iron.


Bulgaria is famous for its wine


There are many recipes for wine in Bulgaria. Wine is an alcoholic beverage, typically obtained by fermentation of grapes.
