SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur—Fear gripped residents of this town not by the ghosts on All Souls Day but by the spate of robbery incidents that occurred the other day in less than 24 hours. Two business establishments have been the recent targets of robbery suspects amid the recent peace and order council meeting to address the rising cases of criminalities here. Robbers barged into the newly-opened Torque Mobile Phones and Tablets early Tuesday morning and another group said to be armed with .45 caliber pistol held up salesladies of R Kelly Pizza at around 7 p.m. The suspects used children to bore a hole at the store ceiling and carted away new cellphones on display amounting to about P270,000 while the other group who posed as customers held up the victims
at gunpoint and took the P600 from the cash box and the cellphone of one of the salesladies. Unbelievable Last week, an armed group went inside Noli-Fe Store purportedly to rob but failed to get anything in the safely-sealed establishment except for what the police claimed as the AK 47 of the store guard. Many have expressed doubt about the initial police report that the botched robbery incident was the handiwork of New People’s Army rebels. Reports has it that responding policemen engaged in a brief firefight in their hot pursuit operation.
