Primavera Residences ‘Tower A’ nears completion THE “Tower A” of the Primavera Residences twin tower condominium project is now at least 70% complete and is expected to be finished and ready for turn over to unit buyers by June this year. As an eco-friendly building, Primavera Residences applies state-of-the-art energy saving design that offer at least 20% reduction in energy consumption. The Italian-designed 10-storey eco-friendly condominiums are constructed along the principles of sustainable architecture such as generating its own energy through solar cells at its rooftop, minimizing power usage, and maximizing natural light and ventilation. Primavera Residences is located in the Pueblo de Oro Township in Uptown Cagayan de Oro (CdeO), one of the city’s booming new growth areas. It is strategically positioned with a major shopping mall, top schools, and a championship golf course only a short distance away. In addition, the Township’s elevation,
stable water supply from the Pueblo de Oro’s own water system and advantageous location with an interconnected electrical distribution system loop of Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company (CEPALCO) ensuring constant power supply, has fueled the high demand for uptown properties, contributing to the fast sales rate of products found in the Pueblo de Oro Township as 2011 ended. Since the completion of its foundation in November 2010, the value of Primavera properties have substantially appreciated with prices for its condominium units having increased by at least 12%. This is double the increase for similar projects in the industry, a primary reason why there are now only few units still available for sale in Tower A. Primavera Residences is owned and developed by ItalPinas, which has an established track record in eco-friendly developments and is also involved in PRIMAVERA/PAGE 11

In a statement, the Makabayan accused the Aquino administration of alleged “feeding on oil price hikes like a parasite, refusing to remove or reduce taxes on oil and dragging its foot on scrapping the oil deregulation law.” This as the group is also calling for the scrapping of oil deregulation law. Coalition spokesperson Liza Maza said that Makabayan petitioned the Department of Finance (DOF) in April last year to suspend if not exempt A demonstration on how the “Bio Energizing Electronic Device” works is shown at petroleum products from the City Central School in Cagayan de Oro for flood victims who are temporarily the expanded value added housed in tents inside the campus. Maza said: “The government has collected over P4-billion in windfall from the steep hike in oil prices brought about by mere speculation early last year.” She added: “Now President Aquino says that the government would not let go of P5-billion worth of revenues collected from oil products. It is feeding on oil price hikes like a parasite while doing nothing to mitigate the impact of oil price increases.” “Instead of the palliative Pantawid Pasada program for drivers, the government should act on long-term solutions to our oil GROUP/PAGE 11
