This was a three part series assignment that I created for the College of Southern Nevada. The first part being the flyer and the remaining two parts being an 11x14 info graphic and poster. This was created in Photoshop using various filters and the perspective tool. The paint effect was created using my very own brush with a picture I took from our Red Rock canyons.

This is the back of the 5x7 flyer, and it informed the audience about the various techniques used to create the actual design.

This info graphic was a big inspiration allowing me to find my true self and making my decision simple to become emerged in the advertising field. I realized that the field of Graphic Communications will gradually grow, and I am here to stay for the long run.

The logo concept was developed and based on cellphone technology. The name Linkcell was used because cellphones use a radio transmission to link to each other. The graphic user interface is easy to navigate and will also be touch screen. Displays of the cellphone will be available in all angles.

The cellphone vending machine was given an electric look to attract attention. The electricity was used because cellphones and accessories are powered by it. The type used for display is Helvetica, being one of the most legible typefaces.

In this re-brand project, I put the emphasis in the Rosati’s family tradition. Rosati’s is a fifth generation pizzeria which is why I incorporated it in the logo. By giving the logo a family crest, I believe it will be able to reach more consumers who understand the great importance of family. The concept for these advertisement layouts were to show how Rosati’s is here to stay for generations to come. These layouts were also compiled using Adobe InDesign, and the logo was created mainly using the reflect tool in Adobe Illustrator.

I decided to create a gum label which mixed jam flavors with actual musical jams. The concept for this campaign is to introduce classic music hits to a younger generation. The logo, front cover, and layout of this product were created in Adobe Illustrator using the Pen, Rotate, and Offset Path Tools. The final touches and product display were composed in Adobe Photoshop.

These two posters were designed for the CSN Graphic Communication Design Exhibition 7.

The name of the show was “Dirty” and the theme was “Roots Deep”.

This was my personal poster in my first gallery event at the CSN Graphic Communication Design Exhibition. I titled it “Skies for Eyes. The concept was that in life I have always liked being random and spontaneous. The art and clouds represent my randomness.

In this magazine layout, I used Adobe Photoshop with various filters. The objective for this magazine spread was to be on both sides of the argument without favoring the pro’s or the con’s of human cloning.

Wedged Dovetail

Most high-end wood working companies use the “Mortis and Tenon” method to build quality cabinets and furniture. I incorporated this in the design of the logo, putting the emphasis on quality. The method displayed in the logo and letterhead are known as the “wedged dovetail” which was appropriate for this company.

King Auto Customs is an actual client of mine in which the love of crowns and money were incorporated into his company. The logo, letterhead, and business card were all done using Adobe Illustrator.

My concept for the First Choice Tree Service logo was quick and simple. The actual number one was combined with two swift movements to give the silhouette of an actual tree. The color green was chosen to finalize the concept of a landscape service company.

First Choice Tree Service

Coldwell Banker is a real estate financial company that thrives on customer service. The concept behind the logo was to show professionalism and trust though the image of a pen tip being signed. As with any signature, it is personalized, consistent and shows the approval of commitment.

This is a poker chip I created for the new and upcoming Echelon Hotel Casino. The concept was to illustrate the new casino as a level of worthiness and achievement. The gold stripes symbolize wealth, and the red stripes and dots represent the formation of groups or individuals.

I decided to make a logo from a popular saying that tourists often hear while visiting Las Vegas. I used the spade as a popular symbol that is associated with the game black jack.

Rock ‘n Roll wine produces monthly high energy wine events. The bottle was a special selection called Back Stage Pass. The concept behind this wine bottle design was to attract people who listen to rock and roll and enjoy wine.

This magazine spread was inspired by one of my home town friends. The concept of the double cut guitar was incorporated into the design and strings of his last name.

The Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame Museum has always been a very fun and favorite place of mine to visit. I re-designed their logo and chose the classic Las Vegas theme colors for a Tournament of Champions poster. I also showed thev pinball with movement to exemplify the live action one has while playing a pinball machine. The billboard down below was targeted for Las Vegas tourists.

This micro brew label was designed in great memory of my uncle Raul Rendon who recently passed away. The concept of our logo was derived from the chessboard set he gave to me as a kid and how our favorite chess piece was the knight.
