The very month, Gucci launched its first ever sustainable collection ‘Off The Grid’, proving their allegiance to the environment. It was a collection “designed for those mindful of their environmental impact” made entirely from organic, recyclable, bio based and sustainably sourced materials. The Demetra was one of the materials included in this collection.

Gucci’s efforts in becoming more environmentally friendly and sustainable is evident in The Gucci Equilibrium Impact report 2021. It shows Gucci has taken multiple steps across their direct operations and supply chain to ensure their sustaniblity by reducing their carbon footprint whilst also protecting biodiversity and being open to nature positive strategies.
