The Shapers Study for Pastors Apostle Sergio G. Enriquez Oliva Guatemala, June 16th Year of Abundance
In the Scripture there are at least four words that can be translated as make, each one with a different meaning. Word Baráh Asáh Yatsár Banáh
Meaning Create from nothing To do something from what already exists To form Build, edify and restore
Example God created the heavens and the earth (Gn 1:1) God creates man according to His image (Gn 1:26) God forms the man from the dust of the earth (Gn 2:7) God makes the woman from the man´s rib (Gn 2:22)
We can take these four words as the stages of our Christian growth, when we received Jesus as Lord in our hearts, we were created (Banáh), but we must keep growing in order to be edified. The stage prior to our formation will be the object of our study. Genesis 2:7-8 (LBLA) And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. [8] The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. This passage shows us that God put the man who had been formed in Eden. This means that when someone receives the Lord in his heart, he cannot enjoy all the blessings of the gospel because he needs to be formed and this involves a process. Moreover, the man that is formed is promoted to the category of a living man, which is a requirement to be taken. Isaiah 43:21 (LBLA) This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise. This means that those who are not formed by God, cannot praise Him, even if they appear to do it. Isaiah 49:5 (LBLA) And now the Lord says, Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel is gathered to Him (For I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and My God shall be My strength). We can see that in order to serve the Lord, we must be formed; this formation occurs in the midst of our daily life, when we experience situations that are uncomfortable. We must know that this is necessary for the deceivers to repent (Jacob) so they can return to the Lord and be one with those who are already formed by God (Israel). The last part of this verse lets us see that a formed man that becomes a servant receives honor from God. Jeremiah 1:5 (LBLA) Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. This verse shows that a servant is known from preexistence. Jeremiah 33:2 (LBLA) Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name).

The Shapers Study for Pastors Apostle Sergio G. Enriquez Oliva Guatemala, June 16th Year of Abundance
First the earth was made, then it was formed and finally it was established. The word establish also means to be firm, this teaches us that those who are formed by God, stand firm regardless of the circumstances, therefore if God forms us, nothing will move us. Psalms 139:15 (LBLA) My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. From this passage we can see that God forms men in secret. The Shapers In the Church there must be disciples or people in formation (the sheep) and shapers (the ministers); however it is necessary that before we try to form others, we must be wrought by God, if we do not do so we will be deforming the church. The word Yatsar is closely linked with clay, many times it is translated in the Scriptures as potter, who is the one that forms the clay. I Chronicles 4:22-23 (LBLA) also Jokim, the men of Chozeba, and Joash; Saraph, who ruled in Moab, and Jashubi-Lehem. Now the records are ancient. [23] These were the potters and those who dwell at Netaim and Gederah; there they dwelt with the king for his work. This verse lets us see that in order to do the job of the potters (formers) we must dwell with the King (God), this involves many things, for example, we must be subject to His authority, follow His customs, eat with Him, being constantly in His house, know His heart, His crown, His scepter and His throne. One of the aspects that we can notice about God´s throne is that it is a throne of grace, not of throne of law, (Hebrews 4:16). Regarding the names of the cities and the name of the potters, we can learn the following: Netaim: Means orchard or plantation. Gedera: Means covering, fold, sheepfold. The potters have to have a coverage in the fold. Jokim: This is, the Lord lifts up. Joash: The Lord is god Saraph: Burning. The former (minister) must blaze in the Spirit, do all things with passion for the Lord. Jashubi-Lehem: The one who is restored with bread (Jones Dictionary). If we let the Lord to form us, we will be good formers (potters), able to teach and guide those who will be the bride of the Lord Jesus Christ.
